Chapter 5698
After getting the feeling that Harvey touched the ID, the inspector took a few steps back. He pulled out his firearm and pointed it at Harvey’s head.
He then waved his hand, signaling for the other inspectors to step up. Loud clacks were heard as the inspectors removed the safeties of their guns, looking fierce.
“What are you doing?” Harvey showed an innocent expression.” I only took a look at your ID! There’s no need for this.”
The inspector’s face darkened instantly.
“You’re being arrested, Harvey York! You have the right to remain silent, but everything you say will be used in the court of law!”
Before Harvey could say anything, Aria had already gotten out of the car with a frown.
“I am Aria Surrey of the Luster Tribe! I don’t know who you’re going against for doing this…but you better keep your firearms away from this!
“Another thing! Sir York is our important guest. Going against him would mean going against the entire Surrey family!”
The inspector scoffed.
“We know the Surrey family has a powerful identity, Ms. Aria… but nobody can go against the law! We’re here for a reason.
“We were told that he’s been involved with cases of selling dizzy pills in massive entertainment venues the past few days. We’ll have to bring him back for questioning!”
Harvey narrowed his eyes. Meanwhile, Aria’s expression changed instantly.
“You better have proof for saying something like that! A prominent figure like him would never do something like that!”
The inspector laughed.
“Why wouldn’t he? He has a Black Card that he uses without a care in the world!”
“If he actually earned his money somewhere else, why would he do such a thing?
“As for proof… We found a few fingerprints when we seized a batch of dizzy pills! We’ll find out if he’s involved after that!”
After hearing the inspector’s decisive statements, Aria wondered if Harvey actually was guilty.
Harvey casually got out of the car, still smiling.
“You’re pretty confident, aren’t you?
“I can tell you one thing, though. I didn’t leave any fingerprints on your ID. Simply put, your mission failed.
“Since you don’t have any proof to take me in… You’re going against a person with a Black Card, and also an important guest of the Surrey family.
“Have you considered the consequences of your actions?”
“How?! But you just…”
The inspector froze, before quickly inspecting his ID. His expression changed instantly after looking at the bottom corner.
There was no fingerprint there!
Seeing the inspector’s expression…
The other inspectors instantly went pale as well.
They knew what they were here for. But without Harvey’s fingerprints, it would be impossible to even frame him.
Aria revealed a startled expression —Harvey was right after all.
Stefan really was that ruthless. If it wasn’t for Harvey’s preparation, he would’ve suffered a horrible death!
