Chapter 5697
“Of course, it doesn’t matter how angry Stefan is.
“He won’t do anything to you today. After all, he’d get too much attention if he does.”
Harvey was calm.
There was something else that he didn’t say.
No matter how rich and powerful Stefan was…
This was the Aenar Temple’s territory.
Stefan had tons of ways to deal with Harvey as long as he played within the rules…
But if he planned to lay his hands on Aria, he’d have to seek support from prominent figures with powerful forces. If he did that, though, he’d be seen as desperate.
These prominent figures might not lend their forces that easily, either.
Aria thought about the situation for a moment.
“Would you want to leave first? Even if they’re trying to…”
Harvey was speechless; he didn’t think that the fourth lady of the Surrey family would be this silly sometimes.
“It’s fine. If I can’t even deal with such a small situation…” he said, tapping Aria’s shoulder. “I would’ve died countless times by now.”
Aria bit on her lip without saying a word. She had already sent Lennon a text, but the Surrey family’s residence was miles away!
Even if her grandfather immediately sent people here… Could they get here in time?
While Aria was starting to panic, some inspectors in uniform came over, waving the car down to stop. They started looking around the car.
Harvey chuckled.
“Stefan really is pretty impressive. I’m right about him, after all. Nothing’s impossible for a man like him! He’s trying to kill me here!”
Aria froze. “What are they going to do? Are they going to use firearms?”
Harvey shook his head.
“It’s not that. Does this car have an omnidirectional dash cam with a recording function?
“It does,” Wildcat said. “It’ll upload straight to the phone as well.”
“Impressive luxury car… Turn it on and send the footage to my phone,” Harvey instructed.
Wildcat nodded, and quickly did as Harvey said.
Aria pondered over the situation, filled with shock. She guessed what Stefan was planning to do, but she didn’t think it’d be that ruthless!
About a minute later, when Harvey was done arranging things, an inspector walked over with a stern expression.
He reached out to knock on the car window. He knew who the car belonged to; he wouldn’t dare act too recklessly.
Harvey rolled the window down, and smiled.
“Is something wrong, inspector? If you’re doing an investigation, I’m afraid I’ll have to see your ID first. After all, safety always comes first.”
The inspector seemed unhappy; he was just about to get Harvey out of the car, but got talked back. He had no choice but to hand his ID over to Harvey.
Harvey’s eyes showed a hint of disdain. His fingers clasped the bottom corner of the ID.
A sticky feeling could be felt, confirming his speculation.
The inspector was trying to get his fingerprints.
