Chapter 5575
Harvey was about to teach a lesson Benson would never forget Before he could, however, the woman suddenly spoke up. Her voice was stern.
“Are you going to defy me, Benson? I told you to stop! Do you hear me?!”
Benson’s hand froze; he had no choice but to stop.
He glared coldly at Harvey before walking away resentfully.
He thought that his lady was only interested in a weak- looking man like Harvey because she had lived her entire life peacefully in the grasslands..
‘The head is right. We can’t let her stay in the plains anymore’ Benson thought.
Harvey glanced calmly at the woman who had spoken.
The woman stood. She went to Harvey and picked up the broken pendant, then put it in front of his table apologetically.
“Your significant other gave this to you, right? I’m sorry my subordinate broke this. He’s a really careless man. Here’s a small gift. You should take it.”
She took out a check from her pocket, and put it in front of Harvey. A faint yet refreshing smell came from the check, filled with her warmth.
Harvey looked at the numbers on the check, then said, “I accept your apology, but you should have the check back. But remember… Not everyone is as kind as me.”
Harvey ignored the woman, then picked up the pendant.
It wasn’t as complete as before, but he soon managed to restore it to its former glory-though barely.
The woman was surprised to see Harvey’s actions.
In the outskirts, her looks and identity were simply outstanding.
Even after avoiding the frivolous men chasing after her in her home, she still had a lot of people pursuing her here.
There were even people who tried to get her attention by intentionally ignoring her.
But, in her eyes, Harvey wasn’t doing that intentionally. He wasn’t interested in her at all.
This was truly something unique for her.
Seeing that, Benson’s face turned ugly. In his eyes, a scrawny- looking man like Harvey was simply disgusting.
‘Men should have eight pecs, strong limbs, and thick chest hair!
‘He looks like a damn kept man!’
For someone like Benson, a man like Harvey would never become successful. If it wasn’t for his lady, he would’ve beaten Harvey black and blue by now.
In any case, the woman wasn’t offended by Harvey at all. She tilted her head, pondering.
“Let’s leave,” she said. “Let’s just stand in an empty corner outside. Apologize to the passengers that we kicked out.”
Not just Benson-even the expressions of the other men in suits changed instantly.
“We can’t, my lady!” they said. “You’ll be in a lot of danger!”
“We can’t get the others involved because of our own business,” she said.
She smiled, and nodded at Harvey.
“Maybe we’ll see each other again.”
So saying, she moved to leave.
