Harvey York’s Rise to Power Chapter 5514

Chapter 5514

“What the? What happened?”

Castiel, Leona, and the others ran out after hearing about the news.

Everyone became angry after they understood the situation.

“You’re talking about that woman, Sir York?!” Castiel exclaimed, gritting his teeth.

“She begged me to help… And yet, she lied about every single thing that I asked! I didn’t think that she’d come back to cause you trouble! I’ll deal with her the next time I see her!”

Castiel was clearly unhappy about Aleah.

“It’s just a small problem. No need to get upset. We meet all sorts of odd people during work, anyway,” Harvey said.

He waved his hand, signaling Castiel to calm down.

“Is the woman special or something?” he asked curiously.

Castiel scoffed.

“It’s not that! It’s just completely unbelievable! Take a look here!

Castiel stumbled inside before coming back out with a piece of red paper.

“The Unbroken War… She’s only fifteen? She looks a lot older than that,” Harvey said.

Castiel shook his head.

“You’re mistaken, Sir York. She said that she’s older. If that’s the case, then she’s seventy-five…”

Harvey froze, then burst out laughing. “There’s no way she could maintain that appearance at seventy-five, right? She…”

Harvey stopped talking, deep in thought.

‘Evermore… Evermore!’

The name kept echoing in Harvey’s mind. Maybe Evermore did find out something resembling everlasting life.

He took a deep breath.

“What did you figure out?” he asked.

Castiel frowned.

“Judging from the information, the woman’s just too terrifying. She’s the bane of the others’ existences! Everyone who comes close to her will fall sooner or later!”

Harvey froze.

“Is there really a person as terrifying as that?

“It’s said that people like that would usually live a lot longer compared to ordinary people… She has no choice but to watch as the people around her pass.”

“That’s right! That’s why I’m saying, she’s blatantly lying to me! For someone in the line of work, this is extremely humiliating to me!” Castiel said.

Harvey waved his hand, pondering the situation.

“Maybe it’s not a joke. What if this is the kind of people that Evermore’s been recruiting?

“If that’s actually the case, then the woman’s most likely in her seventies…

“She’s probably over a hundred, in fact. She wrote that she was born after the Unbroken War, but she didn’t specify which year, right?”

“You’re right about that…” Castiel muttered.

Harvey picked up the paper.

“Right. We’ll leave things here for now. Don’t worry about it. Get someone to fix the door tomorrow. Get an electric gate instead; we’ll see how people break them after that.”
