Chanse Foster glared at Harvey York momentarily before putting his phone down. He must have received some instruction.
“Stop screwing around!
“I don’t need you to invoke your privilege either!
“Let’s have a bet!
“If you can complete the relocation project in a week, I’ll give you my position!
“I’ll even kneel before you as an apology!
“But if you can’t do that, then you must leave!
“What do you think?!”
Chanse knew he had no other way out.
He would rather take the initiative than otherwise.
That was why he decided to take drastic measures, hoping to turn the tables.
Only then would he be able to retain the pride of his family as well as that of a director.
“That’s too long. We’ll make it three days.”
Harvey approached Chanse before patting him on the face.
“If I can’t deal with it in three days, I’ll leave myself.
“But if I do, I don’t want your position either, but I want you to go to the Dragon Cell and turn yourself in.
“You have to confess every single crime that you did in the past.
“I believe the Dragon Cell will ensure you do that honestly.”
Naturally, Harvey would not mind fighting back since Chanse was already prepared to do so.

Harvey sipped his tea before casually leaving the room.
More than ten minutes later, inside the office of the government’s second-in-command.
The place had just been cleaned out. It was a room about a thousand square feet wide on the third floor.
The garden was entirely in view from the room as well. It was an excellent location.
“I didn’t expect you’d still have tricks for dealing with those old foxes, Harvey.”
Kairi Patel poured Harvey a cup of tea.
“These people had ulterior motives. If the situation had not been dealt with properly, we would’ve been turned into mere figureheads.
“Even if the John family hadn’t planned for this, these people would’ve done exactly the same.
Harvey sipped his tea.
“After all, the government is a place of seniority. Everyone here has a role.
“Our sudden rise to power might look simple…
“But in reality, we stopped countless others from getting to our positions because of this.
“It’s only natural that people would stand up against us.
“Then again, this is still pretty easy to deal with.”
“Since we took someone else’s spot, all we need to do is to get another spot for them.
“With just a little thought, the director of the land department’s position will be open soon.”

“Looks like I was right to have you as the consultant.
“After all, you can see through the people’s hearts.
“That said, I wonder…
“Can we really deal with the relocation project?
