Cameron looked as if Harvey was getting a good deal out of the situation.
At the same time, he waved his hand. Someone brought over an elegant-looking wooden box. An old scripture was seen inside the box, with Harvey labeled as a servant inside.
Cameron pointed at the name on the page with an arrogant expression.
“Listen here, Harvey! Sign this! Let everyone know that you’re a part of the Lloyd family!”
“Don’t feel embarrassed, Sir York !” Korbin said, as if he was going along with Cameron’s idea.
“This is only nominal. The Lloyd family wouldn’t actually treat you like a servant!
“Consider this a band-aid solution! When we deal with the situation, we’ll figure out how to remove your name from the pedigree again!”
Harvey was completely speechless. He grabbed the pedigree, then tore the page with his name out and turning it to dust with his bare hands.
“Sorry,” he said calmly as he handed back the shredded pedigree. “I have no interest in being someone else’s servant.”
If it weren’t for Kairi, Harvey would’ve already slapped Cameron in the face.
‘Is this guy insane?’ Cameron was in disbelief.
“You have no interest? You even tore a page off the pedigree? Do you realize what you’re doing right now? Don’t you understand what would happen if you didn’t have the family’s protection?”
“Of course I know what I’m doing. Yuri’s nothing to me. For Kairi’s sake, I’ll let this slide. I’ll kill you if there’s a next time!” Harvey warned.
Cameron’s face darkened. “I’m trying to help you here, Harvey!”
Naturally, he did hope for Harvey to become the Lloyd family’s servant. That way, Harvey wouldn’t have the right to be with Kairi.
Kairi frowned.
“I’m grateful you’re here to help, Cameron…
“But I told you, Sir York is the Patel family’s guest. You’re embarrassing him if you’re making him a servant of the Lloyd family. I hope that you retract your words.”
“Heh!”
Cameron chuckled coldly.
“I only came here with the pedigree because of my sworn brother, Ms. Kairi! How can you people be so ignorant?
“Don’t you know that even the servants of the family need a postgraduate certificate?
“I already lowered my standard by so much because of Korbin! And yet, you people still don’t know how to cherish the chance?” Cameron said.
“You shouldn’t argue with them, Cameron ! They really don’t know how good of an opportunity this is!” Korbin said.
Cameron seemed a little relieved after hearing Korbin’s words.
“I’m giving you one last chance! Are you willing to be the family’s servant, or not?” Cameron snarled.
