Chapter 5413
Leland waved his hand for the fierce men to take Harvey down.
After all, he had the support of the Locke Financial Group since Karina was here.
Why would he be afraid of a mere retired God of War since that was the case?
After all, combat strength alone meant nothing. Money, authority, background, and support were everything in this day and age.
A God of War was just a lackey in the end.
The fierce men craned their necks while stepping forward, ready to take action at any moment.
Before they did, Karina blew out a puff of smoke and spoke first.
“Hold it.”
Karina snuffed out her cigarette before leaning in toward Harvey.
“You’re Harvey York? I’ve heard of you.
“As the representative of the country’s Martial Arts Alliance, you’re pretty impressive.
“But no matter how great you are, you’re just a martial artist.
“For us Americans with genetically enhanced warriors, we can replicate as many people like you as we want. I do hope you know your limits and the consequences of going against us.
“I’ll give you a chance after that. Don’t make things harder for both yourself and the country. If not, it’ll be bad when I get angry.”
Harvey smiled. “Why don’t you tell me how bad it’s going to get?”
Karina revealed a prideful smirk.
“You may not know this, but the Locke Financial Group manufactures the favorite drink of your people. With a single word, we’ll take our product off the shelves immediately!
“Your people will suffer!”
Harvey curved his lips.
“You’re saying that you’re sanctioning your customers even though you only sell soft drinks?
“Go ahead. We already have a lot of soft drinks here. Once you leave the country’s market, I’m sure we’ll have our own businesses taking over.
“That said, that’s quite a big accomplishment for me, too. Maybe I should ask for a Good Citizen Award. Why don’t you just do that now?
“You’re a coward if you don’t leave the country’s market. How about that?”
Karina was boiling with anger. She didn’t think that her threat would be useless against Harvey. She took a few judgmental gazes at Harvey before speaking up again.
“If you’re not scared of that being sanctioned, then what about medicine?
“With a single word, America’s highest-grade medicine would no longer be sold here!
“Countless more people would die here every single year!”
“That’s even better. If you’re not going to sell here anymore, then these things won’t have patents too, right?
“We could cut down the costs tenfold by just manufacturing the medicine ourselves.
“Since you’re so nice to the country, I should ask for a Good Citizen Award for you, too.”
Karina’s face turned pale; she was on the verge of poking the blood out of her palm.
Everyone she had threatened in the past shivered in fear.
Why was Harvey so fearless if that was the case?
