Chapter 5356
After hearing Harvey York’s words, Prince Gibson was in deep thought.
The stone gambling site and Yamato’s incidents…
They did not seem to have any correlation except for one thing.
Arlet Pagan was the main target in both incidents.
It would be nothing if this were purely a coincidence, but someone had to thoroughly investigate Harvey to see if this was premeditated.
“Maybe…” Prince muttered.
“That’s right.
Harvey cracked a smile.
“People with nothing to lose don’t fear the ones with power.
“It’d be way easier to crush us with outside forces instead.
“I’m afraid the talk between Miles Keaton and I isn’t that simple.”
Prince’s expression instantly turned dark.
He only wished for the talk to go through so he could relieve Harvey from some of his pressure…
But the talk seemed almost hopeless.
Right when Prince secretly heaved a sigh, two people came to the Storm Pavilion.
“Representative York, Mr. Prince.
“Young Master Miles and Mrs. Kora have been here for more than ten minutes now.
“Right. Apparently, there’s someone with them who’s playing the middleman.
“His name’s Kalel Hoffman.”
Shay Gibson walked over after seeing Harvey show up.
Harvey frowned when he heard the name.
“Never heard of him.”
Prince froze.
“Kalel? The well-known peacemaker of the Hoffman family?”
Shay showed a strange expression.
“That’s him.
“It’s said he’s here to join the Hoffman family’s event.
“He was asked here since he’s acquainted with Miles.”
“The Hoffman family? That’s quite a coincidence.”
Harvey showed a profound look.
Prince was also confused.
“You might not know Kalel, Sir York.
“He’s also quite the prominent figure of the Hoffman family. Country H’s Martial Arts Alliance previously sought his expertise.
“Because of his family’s name, the people of the underworld would pay him a lot of respect.
“Sometimes, he’d show up to deal with things of the underworld that couldn’t be reconciled.
“Miles probably intends to bury the hatchet by bringing him here.”
Harvey chuckled.
“Are you sure about that?”
Prince briefly hesitated.
“Kalel does fancy mediation. After all, he’s also greatly benefitted from his job.
“Since he’s here, the situation probably wouldn’t escalate anymore.
“Right. Miles is lashing out inside the Storm Pavilion.
“He slapped two waiters who were supposed to bring him tea. He also smashed two of the coffee tables we prepared for them.
“Even Kalel was starting to get a little irate.
“They’re saying that we have no manners even though we were the ones who wanted to reconcile,” explained Shay.
Harvey let out a chuckle.
“We agreed on five o’clock, right?”
“That’s right.”
Harvey glanced at his watch.
“There’s still half an hour. Let’s take a walk.
“We’ll just get back when it’s almost five.
“They wanted to flaunt their authority, right?
“We’ll see who gets the upper hand.”
