Harvey couldn’t be bothered to talk to Ayaka anymore. He signaled Elias to take the Islanders’ phones and delete everything inside before throwing them out.
When everyone was out of the hospital, Kairi looked at Harvey. “Are we really going to let them go like this?”
“They clearly came prepared,” Harvey replied. “If we detained or hurt them, we’d fall into our enemies’ trap. Judging from the current situation, deleting pictures and video footage from their phones is the best course of action.”
Kairi frowned.
“But if they came prepared…
“Then there’s no point in deleting all that stuff, right? They can just continue fanning the flames.

Harvey chuckled.
“If that does happen, then it’ll tell us everything.

“All of us are suspicious of Blaine being behind all this.
“Without proper evidence and the right timing, it’d be hard to take him down.”
Kairi showed a look of realization. “If that’s the case, then you need a good rest tonight. I’ll make some arrangements. The storm’s probably coming tomorrow.”
After heading back to Fortune Hall, Harvey had a brief conversation with Mandy in Wolsing through texts before dozing off.
On the next day, early in the morning, Harvey was having his breakfast in the corridor when his phone started to vibrate.
When he picked up the call, Kairi’s anxious voice was heard.
“Sir York, my men planned to move Nobuyuki’s body in the middle of the night to prevent anyone from using him against us.
“We were ambushed on the road. There were at least hundreds with loaded firearms.
“They stopped our convoy and took the body, but none of us were hurt. Who knows what they’re planning to do…”
Harvey frowned. “Nothing showed up in the media, either?”
