Chapter 5331
Nobuyuki gritted his teeth. “That’s right!”
“The bedroom was flooded with cold air after you did that, right?” Saul asked again.
Nobuyuki’s hands were pressed on the ground. “Right. That was my fault.”
Saul took a deep breath.
“I trusted you, but you betrayed my trust. Since you’re an Islander, I’ll give you a chance to kill yourself.”
Nobuyuki’s head was planted on the ground, and he started to shed tears.
“I was just tempted, Mr. Saul! I…”
Cold air started seeping out in between his fingers as he pressed his hands on the ground again; he looked to carry out his plan.
Naturally, Nobuyuki wasn’t planning on giving up at all.
Everything he did was to initiate his scheme.
Bang!
It was a shame he kneeled a little too fast despite his careful planning. Saul didn’t trust him at all because of it.
The moment he was about to use his trump card, a bullet had already gone right past his hand.
“Aaagh!”
Screams of pain were heard.
Saul stepped forward, then stomped on Nobuyuki’s hand. A loud snap was heard as his other hand broke as well.
Gian was shocked. He never thought that his meek brother-in-law could be so ruthless.
After breaking both of Nobuyuki’s legs, Saul said, “Lift the carpet. See what’s under there.”
A few bodyguards quickly lifted the carpet, and found a circle of talismans under it. Nobody knew what would happen if the talismans were activated, but it was enough to make everyone’s eyes twitch.
“As expected of the Islanders’ will to destroy the country… You were ready to take everyone down with you, huh?
“This is who you brought to save your sister, Gian?”
“Take Nobuyuki to the Patel family! I’m sure that Lady Kairi will be interested in him.”
Nobuyuki was dragged away.
Gian fell to the ground from sheer shock. He kept slapping himself in the face, and burst into tears.
“I was a wrong judge of character, Saul! This was my fault!”
Saul frowned, then looked at Harvey. He was a ruthless man, but Gian was still his nephew. He didn’t want Gian to die, despite his grave mistake.
Harvey smiled.
“Young Master Gian didn’t mean it, Saul. He was probably used, to begin with.
“You don’t have to tell the Hoffmans about this. But as a lesson, I’m sure he’ll listen to you more after this.”
Gian didn’t think that Harvey would speak up for him.
“That’s right!” he exclaimed, nodding repeatedly. “I’ll listen to everything you say, Saul! I’ll follow your every single word…”
Saul froze before, then looked at Harvey with gratitude. Not only did he help deal with the problem, he managed to change Gian’s crappy personality as well! What a move!
