“Blaine finally took action, but you managed to take him down twice. It’d be hard for you two to
reconcile at this point.
“Our battle with Blaine will be completely public now too.
“He has Westley with him as well. He’s just a lackey for Emery, but he’s still a prominent figure who can
do whatever he wants to in Wolsing.
“Two slaps for two people. There’s a storm coming to Golden Sands soon enough…”
Harvey put his cup down.
“Isn’t this exactly what you hoped for?
“The city’s situation is as clear as day. The wealthy families of Golden Sands need to pick a side now.
Either the Johns keep their control, or the Patels will unite the entire city.
“This is good for you, no? It’s always better to be decisive.

“I do want things to end neatly… But you should know that I’m not able to take control of the situation,
even if I’m the lady of the Patel family.

Harvey glanced at Kairi. “You weren’t able to deal with those people after that? Do you need my help?”

“No need for that. They’ll understand the situation soon enough. If they still don’t know how to pick a
side after seeing all this…

A discreet-looking Bentley limousine came to the side of the Hulroy Lake. There was a villa located in
this place. It was surrounded by mysterious fog, as if it was the residence of a deity.
Blaine, dressed in a suit, came out of the car. He had already dealt with the injury on his face. With the
help of makeup, he seemed a lot more energetic.
He carried a basket full of vegan dishes, and headed inside the villa with a smile on his face.
A few guards were barely visible in the fog. They all stepped down after seeing Blaine, as they naturally
knew who he was.
After reaching the entrance, Blaine could see a butler waiting for him. The butler nodded, then brought
him to the deeper parts of the villa.
A grand mountain scenery and a peaceful lake greeted him when he reached the other side.
A woman in a plain dress, holding a duster, could be seen gazing afar under the morning sun.
From her side profile, she appeared quite mature. She was indeed beautiful.
