Chapter 5266
Chapter 5266
As expected, a hearse without a license plate was started up and drove toward the cemetery from the
Gibson family’s residence.
While on the road, the Lowe family and the Bowie family looked like faithful followers, clad in funeral
clothes, with white flowers pinned on their chests.
Adler and Osman, who had been going against Quill for most of their lives, were in charge of holding
the coffin.
Before long, the hearse arrived at the cemetery.
Adler and Osman raised the coffin. Everyone was shocked to see it.
“What? Is that the great elder and the second elder?
“Haven’t they always been going against Quill?
“Not only are they here for his funeral, but they’re even carrying the coffin themselves!
“Prince must’ve become a lackey for some prominent figure!
If that wasn’t the case, Adler and Osman wouldn’t act like this in the first place!”
It was time to bury the coffin.
Homs could be heard, echoing in everyone’s ears. When the mourning song was finished, the coffin
was covered by a big piece of cloth and was slowly carried forward. Everyone wore sorrowful
expressions.
Nobody said a single word during the entire process.
A sense of gloom hung in the air. It was a miserable sight.
They walked to the front of the grave not long after.
Harvey and Prince stood on both sides of the coffin. Harvey glanced at Prince, then signaled the latter
to step forward. He didn’t want to steal Prince’s limelight.
Prince nodded before stepping up.
“Thank you all for attending my father’s funeral, everyone.
Let’s all have a moment of silence before moving him to his final resting place.”
The simple ceremony ended when Prince waved his hand. A few disciples raised their shovels, ready
to bury the coffin after putting it in the grave.
“Who said that bastard can be buried safe and sound?
“The Gibson family is sinful! Quill is a sinner!
“What would happen to us righteous people if he’s allowed to sleep in peace?”
Suddenly, loud footsteps could be heard at the entrance of the cemetery.
The guests were pushed aside. A few people had showed up, looking fierce.
Prince’s face darkened as he looked over. Azrael, Watson, and the other guests followed suit, looking
calm, as if they knew that this would happen.
Harvey glanced at a few disciples of the Gibson family.
“Dig a bigger hole, people. We’re burying more than just Quill here,” he said.
Everyone gasped. The guests all looked at each other. After hearing Harvey’s words, they immediately
knew that the funeral wouldn’t end peacefully.
After realizing that, they quickly took a few steps back to make way.
