preparing for his funeral!”
“What about it?” asked Harvey York.
“Blaine John knows about this too.
Kairi Patel spoke in a strange tone.
“He decided to send Mr. Quill his way in person.
“The John family have prepared an extravagant gift. They’ll be at Heaven’s Gate’s headquarters in
under half a day.”
Harvey frowned. The outsiders may not know, but the relationship between the six Hermit Families and
the John family was no less than destructive.
‘Blaine’s coming to Quill’s funeral instead of celebrating his death?
‘Something’s clearly wrong here…
“Are you sure he’s coming to Heaven’s Gate’s headquarters?
Harvey got on the video call and frowned at Kairi.
“Hasn’t he learned his lesson after going through so much?
“He’s still planning to show up before me?
“Is he not scared of me slapping him to death?
“Besides, why not get someone from the family to come if he wants to clear his family’s name?
“What is he trying, putting himself in harm’s way?
“What’s his goal?”
Kairi took a moment to think about the whole situation.
“If I guess correctly, he must be trying to be in the good graces of everyone in Golden Sands.
“Since the Patel family’s completely unified, no one else has a chance to get involved with our affairs.
“Under such circumstances, the John family would have a lot of things to worry about if the Hermit
Families joined forces with us.
“He must’ve come to reconcile with us to see if he can diffuse the situation.”
“He knows exactly what I’ve been doing in the headquarters.
“He still dares to show up now?”
Kairi smiled.
“Based on my intel, Adler Lowe and Osman Bowie aren’t exactly good people but are pretty good at
their jobs.
“They didn’t say that you were involved with the situation, nor was any information about you leaked.
“At this point, the outsiders only know of Prince Gibson’s rise to power.
“Not only did he kill Layton, but he also became the leader of Heaven’s Gate!
“He’s become quite the prominent figure in Golden Sands now!
“It’s only natural that Blaine’s planning to get Prince on his side.
“After all, he only cares about the benefits.
“He wants to turn the tide around by getting into Prince’s good graces.
“Not only would he be able to figure out the truth of Heaven’s Gate, but he’d also probably get
someone to help him take control of Golden Sands.”
