Chapter 5107 Elias squinted at Harvey for a moment before letting out a sigh.
“With our relationship, I’d definitely stand with Kairi.
“That said… Kairi has no chance to win.
“Dalton’s using all his might to take the family’s throne.
“Not just the Wolsing branch, even the Northsea and Mordu branch are supporting him. A lot of elders from the main branch stand behind him as well.
“Kairi cannot rise.”
Harvey took a sip of his tea, then looked at Elias curiously.
“Dalton? The prince of the Wolsing branch? Are you familiar with him? What’s he like?”
Elias thought for a moment.
“Dalton’s the top dog out of all five major branches. Not only is he proficient in martial arts, but he’s also a very apt schemer. Because of his status in Wolsing, he has a good relationship with the top ten families and with the sacred martial arts training grounds.
“It’s said that he has sworn brothers in all four cornerstones of the country, too.
“Simply put, he has more connections than Kairi. His rise to power would be more beneficial to the family.”
Harvey chuckled. “How much more are we talking about?
Can the family take full control of Golden Sands with just that?”
Elias froze. “Not quite. After all, the John family is the top family here. The Patel family, on the other hand…”
“If I say that Kairi will equip the Patel family enough to crush the John family…” Harvey said, “would you give up on Dalton?”
Elias showed a stern gaze.
“If she can actually do that, I’ll consider switching sides.
After all, I’m not interested in governing the family. Still, I do hope that the family can do better somehow,” he said.
Harvey nodded.
“With Kairi alone, that might not happen…but it wouldn’t be hard if I’m here to help.”
Elias kept changing expressions; right as he was about to agree, his phone started to vibrate.
“It’s the person who I told to keep an eye on Dalton,” Elias said after a brief moment.
Just then, a hasty voice was heard on the other side of the phone.
“Prince! Prince Dalton just gave the order! The family gathering will be moved up in advance!
“Prince Alfred and Prince Rudy has sworn their allegiance to him!
“It’s time for them to force Kairi out of her position!
“They’re telling you to come to the Patel Family Hall!”
Harvey’s expression changed; he didn’t think that something this big would happen before he was even gone for an hour.
Elias’s expression turned horrible. “Looks like there’s almost no chance for Kairi to rise now, Harvey… Dalton’s rise to power is already set in stone.”
Harvey put his cup down.
“You underestimate Kairi. If she gave up that easily, she would’ve been swallowed whole by Dalton by now.
“Come. Take me to the Patel Family Hall. I’ll show you what it means to turn the tables.”
Elias looked at him oddly, then took a deep breath. “Sure!
Let’s take you there.”
