Chapter 5095
Chapter 5095
While still pondering, Harvey returned to Fortune Hall.
Castiel and the others didn’t know that he had gone through a life-and-death situation. They quickly served Harvey a cup of tea as soon as he walked in.
“Where’s Mandy?”
Seeing the place so empty, Harvey glanced at the back hall.
Castiel hesitated for a moment.
“Mrs. Zimmer wanted to tell you something.
“She came to say goodbye.
“If you’re willing to head to Wolsing with her, you can call her anytime.”
Harvey froze; Mandy did mention going to Wolsing, but he didn’t think that she’d be in this much of a rush.
Harvey looked in the direction of Mordu.
He wouldn’t believe it if Mandy’s departure had nothing to do with the Jean family or the top ten families. She probably didn’t know that she was already being used as one of the trump cards against him.
The people closest to him would hurt him the most, after all!
Leona came out, and looked at Harvey with an odd expression.” Are you really going to Wolsing, Sir York? Fortune Hall is your home…”
Harvey took a deep breath to calm himself down.
“I’ll definitely go.
“…But not now.
“Since so many people are hoping for me to leave…
“I should at least stay to see what’s about to happen here.”
Leona let out a sigh, but she did feel a little worried. After all, Golden Sands was in a dire situation.
The next day, Harvey catered to the customers in the Fortune Hall as usual.
Around noon, when he was almost done with the customers, the sounds of a car engine were heard. A beautiful Lamborghini parked right in front of the entrance.
A pair of slender, long legs wrapped in black stockings could be seen. Kairi emerged, wearing a pair of sunglasses, catching everyone’s attention.
The men around were breathing rapidly; they wanted to talk to her, but they were ashamed of themselves.
Kairi stode into Fortune Hall, ignoring everything around her.
While the customers were secretly admiring Harvey for being so blessed, they were thinking of learning geomancy arts while they had the time.
Kairi’s refreshing fragrance wafted over. Harvey smiled at her, and served her a cup of tea.
“You’re in high spirits. Are you angry about something?”
“Did you not sleep well last night?”
Kairi chugged the tea down before gesturing for Harvey to head to the backyard.
“Did the Islanders try to assassinate you last night?” she asked, frowning.
“Who did it? Is it that bastard Blaine?”
Harvey shrugged. “It’s a huge crime to accuse a young master of the top ten families for something like this, you know…”
“I heard Peyton lured you out. Lexie was the one who cleaned up everything. So, Dragon Cell and Dragon Palace have already picked a side?”
“Lexie’s been fighting me for Julian’s sake,” Harvey said.
