Chapter 5007
Chapter 5007
“You little b*tch! How dare you slander Elder Reuben’s name?!
“Do you want to die or something?!”
Elodie Jean was screaming in righteous fury.
Reuben Jean, who had been watching the show, showed a gloomy expression.
“Slap her!”
Slap!
With Reuben’s support, Elodie was as confident as she could get.
She stepped forward before swinging the back of her palm across Xynthia Zimmer’s face. Xynthia stumbled back, almost falling to the ground.
“How dare you, Elodie?!” she exclaimed.
Elodie coldly chuckled.
“Am I not supposed to?”
Elodie swung the back of her palm forward once again.
Xynthia instinctively blocked with her hand…
But at this very moment, Reuben suddenly stepped forward before slapping Xynthia.
A loud, crisp sound was heard.
Xynthia covered her face while stumbling a few steps back before showing utter disbelief.
“Elder Reuben, you…”
In her mind, a man like Reuben would not do something as he pleased.
And yet, it did happen.
Xynthia looked stubbornly as if she was about to say something. Mandy Zimmer quickly stepped in front of her.
“Enough yapping!” exclaimed Reuben impatiently.
“I just got here, and you’re already here running your damn mouths!
“I’ll demand an explanation for you people disrespecting me, the Elder Group, and the entire family…
“But if you keep acting like this, I’ll kill you!”
Simon and Lilian trembled in fear. They would not even dare to utter a single word.
From another perspective, Mandy, the head of the ninth branch, had no right to even shine Reuben’s shoe.
Elodie and Aunt Witby looked at each other with glee after seeing Mandy and her family being talked down.
“We’ll end this here,” said Reuben decisively.
“When I have my meal later, you, and you will kneel in front of my doorstep.
“When I’m done eating…
“You may leave.
“And only when you’re done kneeling, I’ll let you off the hook.”
Reuben pointed at Mandy and Xynthia.
Naturally, not only was he trying to teach Xynthia a lesson, he wanted to use the opportunity to ruin Mandy’s reputation, scaring her off of her position as head of the ninth branch.
Mandy’s eyes twitched.
“We really didn’t mean to, Elder Reuben…
“I can explain…”
“Explain?
Reuben glared at them. His hand that was holding the beads stopped moving.
“Are you questioning me?
“I stopped arguing with her because she’s still young and immature. That was why I wanted you two to kneel for a while to solve the problem.
“And yet you’re unhappy with the decision? As the older sister, you’re here teaching me how to do things?
“Do you really think I can’t handle you just because you’re the head of the ninth branch?”
The higher-ups were showing odd glares when looking at Mandy.
Just like Reuben said, he could easily take out Mandy if he wanted to.
