“Ancient lineage? How ancient?”
Mandy Zimmer froze before shaking her head.
“I don’t know either. I only heard from the other branch heads during a family meeting.
“Us branch heads have control of a tremendous amount of resources and manpower…
“But to the first branch, we’re only servants and slaves.
“We’re just tools for them to make more money.”
Harvey frowned.
“That’s all the more reason you need to become a prominent figure of the family.
“One day, you’ll also be able to take control of the first branch.”
Harvey hoped for Mandy to become the head of the family so she could finally be in the upper social circle…
But judging from her words, the Jean family still had other secrets.

Mandy frowned.
“Don’t just brush it off. I looked into Elodie and Aunt Witby before, but I got someone to investigate them after they tried to force me out of my position.
“I learned that the elder has a good relationship with Aunt Witby. He seems to have something suspicious going on with Elodie too…
“That is how Elodie got her courage.
“I’m guessing the elder will come after us after Elodie’s loss. We need to prepare ourselves as soon as possible.”
Mandy sighed.
“Prepare ourselves? Just slap that man aside!” replied Harvey casually.
Mandy showed a fierce expression.
“Stop being naive!
“That’s an elder of the Jean family! Fighting skill alone won’t solve the problem!
“We have the upper hand this time. Elodie can’t take my position, so there’s no point in forming a grudge with the elder! That’s why we need to reconcile!”
Harvey helplessly shook his head after seeing the determined look on Mandy’s face.

She froze when she saw the number.
“What? Elder Reuben’s about to land here?!” exclaimed Mandy in shock.
“His secretary is asking all of the ninth branch to welcome him?!”
