After a whole day of working, Harvey York was planning to sleep while he was having his tea.
His phone violently vibrated. It was from an unknown number.
Harvey frowned. He wanted to avoid picking up since scam calls were quite prominent in this day and age.
That said, the phone kept vibrating for a long while.
After mulling over the situation, Harvey decided to pick up.
An odd chuckle resembling a strangled duck was heard. It was quite a stern yet asphyxiating sound.
“Sir York! Oh, no, Master York! Hello!
“Let me introduce myself! I am Nameless. We met a few days ago.
“You ruined my plans by bringing Julian York.
“I had to leave the city because of you.
“You should remember me, right?”
Harvey frowned. It would not be too difficult for Nameless to track down his number…
But why would he give a call in the middle of the night?
“Cut to the chase,” Harvey said with a frown.
“Heh heh heh heh!
Nameless chuckled.
“It’s nothing much.
“That said, I plan to host a farewell banquet before I leave.
“I’d like you to join…”
“Not interested. You have fun,” replied Harvey.
Before he hung up the call, Nameless interjected.
“No. You’ll come. You’ll definitely come.
“We have a guest here. Her name’s Mandy Zimmer…
“Right. If you’re coming, I do wish that you’d come alone.
“We don’t welcome Julian York here…”
Beep beep beep!
The call was hung up.
Harvey’s expression worsened.
He already got people to keep an eye on Mandy, yet Nameless was able to get his hands on her somehow.
It was expected. After all, Nameless did not have a lot of tricks to pull at this point. He would do anything to ensure his success.
Without a second thought, Harvey gave Kairi Patel a video call.
Kairi just got out of her bath. Some steam was still seeping from her body when she wore a roomy nightgown, making her seem like a fairy in the middle of the woods…
She blinked at Harvey before speaking up.
“Why’d you call me in the middle of the night, Sir York? You can’t sleep?”
At this point, Harvey was in no mood to tease Kairi back.
He did not even glance at the beautiful woman on the other side of the phone when he wore his jacket.
“Nameless took my ex-wife,” said Harvey coldly.
“He just called me to join his farewell banquet.
“He said that I couldn’t bring Julian with me either.
“I need detailed information right now.”
Kairi froze before her alluring look disappeared.
She quickly brought out another phone before making a call.
She was showing a stern expression after that.
