Harvey smiled as he looked at this haughty, arrogant woman. He was about to slap Ensley in the face, when Xynthia reappeared after realizing she couldn’t find Harvey anywhere.
“Come in already, Harvey,” she urged.
She wrapped her hands around Harvey’s arm, scared he would run off somewhere.
“Harvey said that he’s seasick, Xynthia. He couldn’t get on the ship. I’ll get him a cab home instead,” Ensley said.
She looked as if she was being kind. She took out a check and scribbled on it, then handed it to Harvey.
