Chapter 4667
Chapter 4667
In Mr. Davis’s eyes, Harvey was clearly a very talented figure.
He was convinced Harvey was leagues above him.
At that very moment, he wasted no time kneeling. His knees slammed to the ground.
“A good man never breaks his promise!
“From now on, you’re my teacher!
“Please! Entrust your wisdom to me!”
Mr. Davis banged his head to the ground.
Everyone behind him were stunned. They couldn’t even say a single word.
After all, Mr. Davis was the youngest bishop of the Holy See. He was an intimidating being. Yet, he was kneeling in front of another man.
‘Wh… My God!’
Nobody knew how to feel about the situation.
Penny’s eyes twitched; after remembering the promise she made to Harvey, she gritted her teeth and stepped forward.
“I was ignorant before, Harvey. From now on, I’ll…”
“You’re too kind, Mr. Davis.”
Before Penny could finish her sentence, Harvey immediately cut her off and lifted.
Mr. Davis off the ground.
“I have no right to be your master.
“Mr. Braff, Director Braff, remember what I said.
“I’ll be heading out now.”
Harvey left without making much of a fuss.
He didn’t want another woman in his life, let alone someone from the Jackson family. He wasn’t that desperate, anyway.
After all, Penny had a high status.
Together with her headstrong attitude, everything in Harvey’s life would be a living hell if Penny was involved.
After walking out of the Braff family’s ancestral house, a Lamborghini that had been around slowly drove over and parked beside Harvey.
The car window rolled down, revealing Kairi’s beautiful face.
“Would you mind, Sir York?”
Harvey smiled; he got inside the car and asked curiously, “How did you know I was here?”
Kairi smiled back.
“I got word that you were here to help the Braff family.
“I’m sure that with your methods, you’ve managed to get it done by now.
“The Braff family probably forgot to send such an esteemed guest away after such a hectic time.
“I only came to do that in their place.
“Are you pleased?”
Harvey nodded; he was impressed by Kairi’s wit.
He thought about the situation for a moment.
“Other than you, the rest of the Hermit Families must’ve been looking into the situation as well, right? But because of their status, they wouldn’t want to let anyone know.”
“That’s right. The six Hermit Families are always together, after all.
“The other five would naturally get worried about the head being in trouble.
“If any of them got involved, it’d cause an uproar. Thus, they asked an outsider like me to come in their stead.
“Since you’ve dealt with the crisis, I should be congratulating you!
“All six Hermit Families now owe you a big favor…”
