Imani, Kenzie, and Dayna glared disdainfully at Harvey. They were clearly disgusted by someone like him showing off in such a way.

Harlem frowned. What a joke!
Imani and the rest kept glaring scornfully at Harvey.
“What do you mean by that, Mr. Lee?”
Xynthia roared.
When she heard everyone insult her brother- in-law, her expression turned awful.
“Harvey’s a live-in son-in-law, but what does it have to do with you?
“He loves my sister too much! That’s why he’s the way he is!
“More importantly, he never asked for your money!
“Why must you insult him?!”
Kenzie and the others locked eyes, scowling.
They didn’t think Xynthia would be so protective of Harvey.

Harlem’s face darkened slightly. Harvey was being such a nuisance! He had been treating Xynthia so well, but she never gave him a second look.

He took a sip of bottled water, and said calmly, “No need to be so angry, Xynthia.
They’re right; I’m just a nobody. You don’t have to argue with prominent figures like them for me.”
Xynthia was speechless when she heard this.
She knew he liked to lie low, so she had no choice but to sigh.
“Fine! I’ll do as you say.
“But mark my words!
“It’s not that Harvey doesn’t want to go against you people.
“He’s doing this for me!
“If you people keep this up, I’m done with all of you!”
“Of course, of course! We won’t do it again.”
Imani quickly stood up to mediate the tension.
“Come on! We’re here to have a good time, right?
“There’s no need to get angry over such a small thing!
“Hey, you! Go grab the Ace of Spades. Let’s have some fun!”
Imani gave Harlem a few playful looks.
Harlem’s lackey chuckled. He looked meaningfully at Harvey before heading to the bar.
He could tell what Imani wanted to do-she wanted both Harvey and Xynthia drunk.
Imani wanted Harvey to make a spectacle out of himself. As for Xynthia, Harlem would have a chance with her if she was completely intoxicated.
Kenzie and Dayla covered their mouths, and giggled.
Xynthia didn’t even realize that she had become the main dish at that very moment.
