For Xynthia’s sake, Harvey stood up as well.
“Hello, I’m Harvey.”

Harlem glared at Harvey. When he spoke, it was in an accented voice.
“I remember now!” he said.
“You’re the live-in son-in-law Xynthia’s been talking about the entire time.
“You’re interesting. You’d rather be a kept man than make an honest living.
“If men from Country J try such a thing, we’ll be beaten up to death in an instant.”
Harlem didn’t hide his disdain toward Harvey.
“But for Xynthia’s sake, I’ll give you some respect,” he added calmly.
“If you get in trouble in Golden Sands, just say my name. You’ll be perfectly safe! I guarantee it!
“My reputation here is amazing, after all! No one would dare go against me, anyway!”
Everyone around him looked admiringly at him after hearing those words.
“You’re so cool, Mr. Lee!” Imani, Kenzie, and Dayna gushed in unison.
Harvey only smiled calmly.
“Thank you for that, Mr. Lee. That said, I don’t need your help here.
“I’ll definitely come for you when I’m in Country J, though.”
Harvey held Xynthia’s hand, and pulled her away.
He could tell that Harlem was interested in her, so he didn’t want to give Harlem a chance.
“You’re declining my help?
“You talk like you’re actually capable!”
Harlem was filled with rage when he saw Harvey holding the hand of a goddess many in the industry couldn’t.
He had been giving hints to Xynthia, but she never gave him a chance. She acted as if she was completely oblivious to his advances.
Xynthia would always read scripts or do rehearsals with others during the day, when most people would be around.
Thus, Harlem took the opportunity to get Xynthia this way. However, he didn’t expect her to bring another man with her. He wanted to strangle Harvey to death so badly.
“You b*stard! I can kill ten of people like you!” Harlem shouted.
“If it wasn’t for Xynthia, you wouldn’t have the right to talk to me!
“I gave you a chance, but you’re still putting on airs!
“Who do you think you are?!”
To prove his superiority, Harlem took this chance to insult Harvey.
If Harvey actually left, he’d finally get his hands on Xynthia.
Despite not knowing who Harvey was, he knew what being a live-in son-in-law meant.
He couldn’t be bothered to understand useless filth like Harvey. After all, men with talent from Country I wouldn’t stoop so low in the first place.
