Chapter 4557
Chapter 4557
“I need to talk to the Golden Estate’s executive director about the next spokesperson.”
“I’ll ask you out again when I’m done with that.”
In Ensley’s eyes, Harvey was just a nobody.
If Xynthia didn’t have any connection to Kaizen Group, Ensley probably wouldn’t have gotten close to her either.
After hearing about Harvey being a live-in son-in-law, Ensley’s disgust grew. She wasn’t just looking down on Harvey – she was completely ignoring his existence.
For a rich and beautiful lady like her, a kept man had no right to have her respect. Only young masters like Blaine John could get a chance to be with her.
Harvey looked at Ensley with a faint smile.
He could tell that she disdained him.
That said, he wouldn’t get angry about it.
After all, the opinion of an unrefined woman was pointless to him.
“I see…”
Xynthia was a little disappointed.
“I was hoping you’d have dinner at my house.”
“You’re the first friend I have in the industry, after all.”
“Why don’t you come visit when you’re done with your business?”
“I’m planning to go play around with a bunch of friends. You should come with!”
“Everyone’s dying to know you!”
Xynthia actually treated Ensley as a friend. If that wasn’t the case, she wouldn’t have said such things in the first place.
She was afraid Ensley would get bored in an unfamiliar place, so she wanted to bring Ensley with her.
Ensley pouted.
“Forget it, Xynthia. You’re too kind.”
“I’ll be very busy today.”
“You wouldn’t know anybody impressive here, anyway.”
“What’s the point of meeting a bunch of nobodies?”
“If someone took pictures of me standing with strangers, I’d get misunderstood and ridiculed.”
“We’re different. I attract a lot of attention wherever I go.”
“We should find a quieter place to hang out another day.”
Xynthia was a little down to hear that.
“Fine. Another day, then.”
“Right. Aren’t you going downtown?”
“Do you want Harvey to bring you there?”
“No need. I have a car picking me up.”
Ensley would only travel around in Audis, BMWs, or Mercedes at least.
Judging from Harvey’s outfit, she assumed he was driving a shabby car.
‘It’s probably a rundown car, anyway.’
If someone took pictures of her in such a car, her image as a rich and beautiful lady would be gone in an instant. She’d rather get in private cars.
She casually pulled out her phone, and called a car.
“It’s fine, Xynthia,” Harvey said. “She’s an adult, and a huge celebrity at that. She can take care of herself.”
Harvey didn’t like Ensley at all. He picked up Xynthia’s luggage, and walked to his Audi.
Vroom!
The car drove right past Ensley.
Xynthia rolled the window down, and waved at Ensley.
Ensley’s disdainful glare froze the instant she saw the license plate.
It was an Audi A8 with five sevens!
