Harvey York called Thomas Burton for him to park the Audi outside the geomancy market. Then, Harvey told him to leave the car before hopping into the driver’s seat and stepping on the gas.
The monks trailing him quickly changed expressions before they went inside their van.
After going around in circles, Harvey drove to Indigo Mountain before arriving at the abandoned house where Kellan Ruiz was previously found.
Harvey stepped out of the car and grabbed a bottle of soda from the trunk to sip while he washed his hands.
Before a minute passed, the van quickly drove over before suddenly stopping right before Harvey.
The monks looked at each other with peculiar expressions when they saw Harvey casually drinking his soda.
They realized that Harvey had already known about their presence. Safe to say that Harvey was at least reasonably capable.
That said, they walked out of the van without paying that to mind.
All of them were wearing cassocks with blades in their hands.
They were showing distant glares with extremely righteous auras on their faces.
The leading person was a man with six dots burned on his head. He smiled faintly when he gave Harvey a light bow.
“Looks like you’re pretty proficient in geomancy arts as well!
“Judging from the scenery, this would be an excellent place to stay!
“You’ll live the rest of your life in peace if you do!
“You might even be reborn as someone better if you let us send you off!”
Harvey curiously looked at the monks.
“You’re all monks here. Why would you even talk about killing another person so casually?
“Don’t you people have rules to abide by?
“Besides, you’re here for the gem, right?
“I’ll just give it to you. There’s no point in killing anyway.”
The leading monk sighed.
“You’re a brilliant man. You should know we don’t want the secret revealed to the public.
“If not, even the Oeus Temple would chase us to the ends of the earth for this.
“And to ensure that you keep this secret to your grave, there are some things that we must do.
“I’ll keep my mouth shut if you pay up.
“People like us don’t have that much money in the first place.
“Besides, only dead men tell no tales.”
Harvey heaved a sigh.
“So, there’s nothing to talk about then.
“Honestly, I thought Evermore would be the one coming at me. I didn’t expect that it’d be the Oeus Temple.
“I never thought that you people were this shameless!”
The leading monk instantly changed his expression.
“You know Evermore?!” he exclaimed gloomily.
“Speak! Who told you that?!”
