Harvey frowned. Before he could say anything, Mandy already spoke up for him.
“Enough, Gabriel. I have a husband,” she said, frowning.
Mandy had already decided to break off from Silas once and for all.
She didn’t want to remain friends after their cooperation, either.
Who knew that Lilian would owe Silas such a huge favor?
“Husband?”
“That kept man’s your husband?”
Gabriel chuckled coldly.
“Father and Mother told me about it already,” he said arrogantly.
“Ever since he became the family’s live-in son-in-law, he hasn’t done a single thing for the past three years.”
“And after you divorced him, he’s still here trying to leech the family!”
“What’s the point of keeping someone like that here?”
Avery laughed as well. “We need him to clean up the toilets, of course!”
“What are you saying?”
Gabriel pretended to look angry, and continued to mock Harvey.
“Did you forget?”
“Sir York here has relations with Kairi Patel herself!”
“Maybe he begged for her to help this time!”
Gabriel couldn’t help but get a little jealous as he said that.
After all, not everyone had the right to cling to such a prominent figure.
Avery and the others burst out laughing after hearing those words.

The more Lilian looked at Harvey, the more disdainful she would get.
She had already forgotten all about what happened before.
She believed Harvey had nothing to do with the incident at all.
Silas bailed her out with ease and compensated for her losses fully, too.
Lilian wanted Mandy to marry Silas so badly.
If that happened, she’d be able to do whatever she wanted in the city from then onward.
“Enough!” Mandy said coldly. She didn’t want Lilian to continue ridiculing Harvey.
She looked at Silas and said, “Thank you for all this, Young Master John.”
Silas smiled gently.
“Don’t mention it. The John family isn’t that influential, but we still have our reputation.”
“It may seem absurd, but it’s only natural that Mr. Bolton apologized after my brother’s appearance.”
“As for what happened in the Royal Clubhouse, I did something terribly wrong.”
“That’s why I wanted to make up for my mistake.”
“No need to feel guilty, Mandy. Just treat this as my apology from last time.”
“I won’t ask you to do anything in return.”
“I just hope that you’ll be friends with me.”
Silas looked like he was trying to go back on his actions…
As if he could do anything for Mandy’s sake.
