Harvey York froze.
“What could go wrong with her?
“She’s been staying at home.”
“She’s taken away by the police! I don’t know the details, but I’m on my way to the station!
“Where are you right now?” asked Mandy Zimmer.
“I’m outside. Don’t worry! I’ll be there! We’ll talk after!”
Harvey hung up the call before quickly leaving in a cab.
Half an hour later, Harvey managed to get to the Zimmer family villa at the same time as Mandy.
The two locked eyes before rushing inside.
A few people sat on the couch inside the main hall.
Simon Zimmer, Gabriel Lee, Avery Foster, and a few distant relatives were there, along with an extremely eye-catching person, Silas John.
Harvey frowned after seeing Silas but did not mention anything at that moment.
Mandy froze.
“Why are you here, Young Master John?”
Silas smiled faintly as he looked at Harvey before shifting his gaze toward Mandy.
“I came after hearing about your mother, Mandy. Maybe I can help somehow.”
Mandy lightly nodded. There was no point in turning down Silas’ help.
“What happened here, Father?” she asked after walking to Simon.
Simon showed an odd expression.
“Your mother’s business has been doing well recently.
“She decided to buy a shop to sell some local products here.
“On the first day of business, an old woman passed out immediately after trying out the food in the shop.
“Everything else happened after the family called the cops.
“Soon after, the shop was closed down.
“The police and the Food and Drug Administration determined that it was a dire situation and that they needed to investigate it together.”
“The very first customer got poisoned?
Mandy could not believe what she just heard.
“How is that possible?
“I know where she buys the goods. She imported them from a distributor with Aunt Anderson!
“How did this even happen in the first place?”
Harvey squinted at the sight in front of him.
A hint of evil energy could be seen around the place.
“Didn’t I tell you already?” said Harvey instinctively.
“Didn’t you get geomancy experts to take care of the place?”
Mandy felt a little awkward.
“I heard that Reece Foley and Rodney Foster are the most well-known geomancy experts of Golden Sands, but I couldn’t find them for the time being…
“I’ll take them here when I find them.”
Harvey felt utterly speechless. He knew exactly where the two had been.
They had been secluding themselves in the back of the Fortune Hall.
Simon frowned. He could not believe that everything happened because of geomancy.
In his eyes, the incident happened because Lilian was simply unlucky.
Though, he did forget something. Luck was usually involved with geomancy anyway.
“Right. Now’s not the time to talk about superstition.
Gabriel coldly scoffed.
“We need to bail Lilian as soon as possible!
He completely ignored the important matter.
“Mother’s weak! She can’t stand a single day in such a harsh environment!
“My heart’s going to break!”
