Chapter 4439
Chapter 4439
Harvey didn’t care about the ruckus, nor did he pay attention to the screaming crowd. He calmly sent a text before finally speaking up.
“You’re an interesting bunch.”
“You didn’t even bat an eye at Aston and you’re already screaming at me, claiming that he’s already dead.”
“Shouldn’t you be calling an ambulance instead?”
“Besides, he’s only been dead for five minutes. Nobody has contacted anyone yet, and you people are already here with steel bats?”
“You must’ve known he was going to die, right?”
Castiel’s phone vibrated. After seeing the text on his screen, he left without making a sound.
“Bullshit!”
The middle-aged woman had no intention to speak reason with Harvey. She looked furious.
“You killed him, and now you’re putting the blame on us?!”
“Are you still human?”
The others revealed righteous expressions and started screaming as well.
“That’s right! Everyone saw him dying after you fed him something!”
“How dare you push the blame after all that?”
“More importantly, how dare you try to cure someone when you’re just a geomancy expert? What a joke!”
“Fortune Hall? Passed down through nine different generations? This place is a scam!”
“What a horrible way to die, Mr. Aston…”
“Once just wasn’t enough; he just had to siphon your money until you die!”
The people were screaming in agony, as if something terrible was happening right in front of their eyes.
“Sigh! You were so careless, Master York!”
“Do you think that talisman can actually deal with evil energy? What a joke!”
“Can you stop engaging in superstition and just do your job?”
“Yeah! You’ve already taken a few dollars from our wallets! Do you know just how little money the entire family gets every single day?”
“Apologize already! If they sue you, not only will your Fortune Hall be shut down, but you’ll be locked behind bars as well!”
The greedy customers were insulting Harvey without pause.
They thought they had been brainwashed into believing in such a young man.
They were also planning to go somewhere else for consultation instead of Fortune Hall.
It’d be bad if they died after seeking help, after all.
Seeing that she had the upper hand, the middle-aged woman grew fierce.
“Do you see that, you b*stard?!”
“Nobody here is stupid!”
“Everyone knows you’ve been scamming people!”
“You can’t run from this!”
“Apologize already!”
“If not, we’ll chase you to the ends of the earth!”
Harvey smiled faintly, unfazed.
“What do you want?”
“Or rather, what did you plan for me to do?”
The woman stuck out her chest smugly after hearing those words.
“Simple! Two things!”
“One, pay us 1.5 million dollars right now!”
“Two, we will report you to the housing department and shut down this entire place!”
“You have one minute to think about it!”
