After Harvey woke up early the following morning, he put on some new clothes and took some cooked porridge to the hospital.
His eyes were cold when he arrived at Mandy’s sick room.
He saw Silas and Alma inside as well.
The SWAT team must’ve let the two in after they told the team that they were friends.
At the end of the corridor, Lilian and Simon sat completely anxious.
“What the hell is going on here, Harvey?”
“Why is Mandy in the intensive care unit with her stomach being cleaned?”
“Say something!”
Lilian was furious, but she wasn’t angry because of Mandy’s horrible condition.
In her eyes, her money tree would be gone if anything were to happen to her daughter.
How was she going to enjoy the glory and riches of the elite world in the future?
Simon, who had usually been calm and collected, glared fiercely at Harvey.
“Talk! Don’t think you can get away with this by keeping quiet!”
“Are you mute?”
Simon walked to Mandy’s bed with a worried look on his face.
Harvey ignored the two, and glanced at Mandy. After making sure that she was breathing normally, he finally let out a sigh of relief.
Mandy was most likely still unconscious because she was too exhausted. There was still a little bit of alcohol left in her body causing this as well.
Harvey felt slightly relieved.
“Let’s not bother her sleep for now,” Harvey whispered.
“We’ll talk outside.”
“Mandy drank a little too much last night when she was meeting a client. That’s why…”
“Shut up! Enough!”
Silas glared fiercely at Harvey, looking as if he was Mandy’s actual husband.
“This is going too far!”
“Why are you still making all this stuff up?
How heinous can you get?”
“Mandy’s been treating you so well, and this is how you repay her? How can you live like this?”
“Have you no shame?”
Silas pretended to be extremely heartbroken as he spoke up righteously against Harvey.
“What will Aunt and Uncle Zimmer think?”
Lilian looked as if she smelled something fishy after hearing Silas’s words.
“Young Master John! Tell us what happened !” she exclaimed with a gloomy look.
“I trust your character!”
“I think my sister should tell you about the situation instead. She’s Mandy’s good friend, she wouldn’t lie to you!” Silas replied.
“If I tell you the truth, Harvey might just lash out at me. He’ll think that I’m here to ruin his relationship with Mandy.”
“I wouldn’t be able to defend myself with these scrawny limbs of mine!”
Simon grew furious after hearing Silas’s words.
“He wouldn’t dare!”
Harvey frowned. He decided to keep quiet and see what kind of tricks Silas was going to pull.
“This is exactly how it happened, Uncle, Aunty!” Alma said.
She revealed a pitiful expression.
“Harvey came to blackmail my brother and demanded three hundred million dollars from him. He even used the Newgate Chamber of Commerce to threaten us.”
Alma decided to tell everyone about the incident to fan the flames.
Lilian was completely shocked.
“Three hundred million?”
“This b*stard’s ruthless!”
