“Where did this come from?”
Harvey York frowned.
“At the park where the two took their morning runs.
“There’s a footprint on it. It looks like the man’s footprint to me.
“He must’ve stepped on this. That was why everything happened this morning.
“I looked into it as well. Other than a few mysterious clubhouses, no graveyards are around.”
Castiel Foster then set the paper doll on the ground with a confused look.
Harvey lightly nodded before getting Castiel to put the doll on the table. After squinting at it for a long while, he lit the doll with his lighter.
Fwoosh!
The doll burst into flames with a hint of ink written on it. That said, it was barely visible after the constant rain pouring on it.
Judging from the burn marks, Harvey was sure that it was the same kind of paper doll that cursed Watson.
“So, it really is Evermore…”
Harvey muttered to himself. He had a feeling that Evermore already made extensive preparations in Golden Sands, but there was not enough evidence to confirm that.
After sending a text to Kairi Patel about this, he put this in the back of his mind for the time being.
It was already sunset when the matter was handled properly.
Harvey wanted to buy some food outside, but his phone suddenly rang.
The call was from an unknown number.
Harvey hesitated for a moment before picking up the call.
Mandy Zimmer’s secretary, Maya Lee, could be heard speaking panically from the other side of the phone.
“This is bad, Harvey! CEO Zimmer’s in trouble!
“You need to help her!”

Because of Silas John, Mandy had quite a number of businesses signed already.
That night, she was about to sign a contract with the vice CEO of Blazer Estate, Anthony Lee.
Anthony was Ronnie Lee’s older cousin. He was also one of the upper management in the company.
Since both Ronnie and his father trusted Anthony, he had control over purchasing lands for the company.
Mandy believed that the contract only involved small projects such as room renovations.
She wanted to meet Anthony at Golden Sands Hotel…
But Anthony insisted on meeting her at the Royal Clubhouse instead.
Mandy had no choice but to bring a few people with her for the sake of business.
When the two were seated, not only did they not make any sort of deal, Mandy and the others had been drinking quite a bit.
The people Mandy brought were all lying on the ground, paralyzed after guzzling an entire box of alcohol.
Then, Anthony brought out a bottle of fifty- year-old Riesling and told Mandy that he would sign the contract after she downed everything.
He would also let Zimmer Enterprise handle all Blazer Estate’s room renovations for the next three years.
If this were before, Mandy would have left already.
But for the sake of the ninth branch, she had no choice but to play along.
Maya realized that the owner of the place, Raven Keaton, put drugs in Mandy’s drink.
She obviously had ulterior motives for spiking Mandy’s drink.
Maya wanted to stop what was happening, but she was kicked out of the room before getting beaten up.
She did not know what to do after being in such distress. She had no other choice but to call for Harvey’s help.
