Chapter 4334
Chapter 4334
“Mr. Pagan…” Phantom said with a pleading look.
“Enough of this nonsense!”
Wes cut Phantom off and stood up.
“I’m giving you three days to bring me the person who hurt my family.”
“If you don’t, don’t blame me for what happens next.”
“You should know that the Pagan family isn’t an easy target for you to push around.”
Phantom flashed him a horrible look.
“I understand,” she replied quietly.
“Good.”
Wes crossed his arms.
“Tell Faceless to stop thinking about these useless things.”
“If not, this city will turn into his grave.”
“After all, Golden Sands belongs to the Hermit Families. Not Evermore.”
“I’ll tell him that.”
Phantom’s eyes twitched frantically as she gripped her fist furiously, desperately trying to hold her anger back.
“Even though the deal isn’t made, Mr. Pagan…”
she said after she slowly bowed.
“Mr. Faceless already told me this.”
“Kindness is a big part of business!”
“He’d like you to take this.”
“This is an ancient relic Country H lost in India.”
“The relic is now returned to its rightful people.”
Lachlan couldn’t even bat an eye at the sincere look on Phantom’s face.
Wes frowned.
He hesitated for a moment; he wasn’t in a rush to leave.
Wes had seen all sorts of treasures his entire life.
He wasn’t about to be lured in by something like this.
That said, Phantom did say that this was a relic from Country H that got lost.
It would be extremely beneficial for the country to retrieve something like this.
Wes didn’t care for such a thing…
But for the history of the country, this was an extremely invaluable item.
After being silent for a moment, Wes let out a sigh.
“Fine. I’ll take it.”
“That said, I don’t like owing people favors.”
“Arlet, give them a check of a hundred and fifty million dollars. Consider this a transaction.”
Arlet nodded, then took a step forward.
“Of course.”
“Wait!”
Right as Arlet took out a check, Harvey finally spoke up after a long while of silence.
“We can’t have this.”
‘What?’
Arlet and Wes froze.
They didn’t understand why Harvey would suddenly speak up.
Phantom’s expression changed slightly. She looked at Harvey.
“This is your country’s treasure, kid.”
“Mr. Pagan clearly likes it too. Why won’t you take it?”
Lachlan chuckled coldly after seeing Harvey try to steal the limelight.
“Stop screwing around!”
“You’re just a geomancy expert! You know nothing here!”
In his eyes, the price of the relic was worth mo than a hundred and fifty million dollars.
He’d surely get a cut out of the operation if Wes benefited from it too.
Lachlan was sure Harvey was just stopping him from earning money!
Harvey calmly stepped forward, then smashed the first layer of the pagoda.
“This is a listening device. It doesn’t need any electricity to run and can keep itself powered for at least ten years. It has a radius of at least a hundred and sixty feet.”
“The Pagan family won’t have any secrets anymore if this gets brought back.”
