Chapter 4327
Chapter 4327
When Kellan left, Harvey approached Wes with a smile.
“Thank you for showing up tonight.”
“Without you, I would’ve been in a little trouble.”
Wes burst out laughing.
“You’re too kind, Sir York.”
“It’s only natural for me to help when you’ve already saved my life.”
“Besides, you wouldn’t be in any sort of trouble even without my help anyway.”
“I’m only putting the icing on the cake at this point.”
Naturally, Wes knew Harvey was a discreet man.
It’d be embarrassing for Harvey if he wasn’t able to deal with the mess on his own.
Arlet walked toward Harvey, then leaned into his ear.
“You should be thanking me instead, Harvey!”
“I was the one who took the shots! You would’ve been gunned down by Ronnie’s men if it wasn’t for me!”
Harvey chuckled.
“Sure. Thanks for that.”
“How about this? I’ll give you a month off.
Come back to work after that.”
“You!”
Arlet was speechless.
“You stingy man!”
“I saved your life, yet you still won’t cancel the damn bet?! I’ve never seen such a petty man in my entire life!”
Harvey narrowed his eyes.
“Dream on! Why would I cancel the bet when I can have a lady like you as my maid?”
After making fun of Arlet, Harvey smiled at Wes once again.
“Let’s not talk about tonight.”
“How have you been recently?”
We seemed quite happy when Harvey brought up the subject.
“I’ll have you to thank for that.”
“Ever since you took the evil energy away from my body, my body’s been recovering quickly. With a family doctor by my side, all my other problems went away soon after.”
“It wouldn’t be a problem for me to live a couple more decades.”
“Right. You were the one who dealt with Arlet’s problem as well.”
“You did a huge favor to the entire family.”
“I’ve been meaning to invite you to a meal as thanks.”
“Still, I didn’t want to bother you. You seem really busy recently.”
“Of course, I’ll definitely show up for Fortune Hall’s opening.”
“That said, since we’re already here, why don’t you take a look at my condition?”
At that, Arlet’s eyes lit up and she looked excitedly at Harvey.
Naturally, she had full trust in Harvey’s skill when it came to geomancy.
Harvey smiled before sizing up Wes for a brief moment. As he was about to speak, he frowned.
A hint of dead air could be seen on Wes’forehead.
Ordinary geomancy experts would probably overlook such a thing…
But not Harvey.
That said, he found it odd…
Wes’s luck should’ve been fine.
And yet, there was still dead air hanging onto him.
This was quite peculiar.
After thinking for a moment, Harvey took out a piece of paper and bit his finger, then drew on it casually with his blood.
“You should be fine, Mr. Pagan,” he said, handing Wes the paper.
“But since good and bad come together, it’s better if you take precautions anyway.”
Wes burst out laughing before taking the paper from Harvey.
“With your words, I feel truly relieved!”
