Wes crossed his arms while glaring coldly at Ronnie.
“Have you asked for your father’s permission before acting so cocky?”
“Call him. Ask him if he dares to even speak to me like this.”
Ronnie’s eyes twitched frantically. He quickly bowed, gritting his teeth.
“I’m sorry, Mr. Pagan! I drank too much! I’m sorry for speaking like this!”
“I won’t do it again!”
“I don’t need your apology. Kneel to Sir York.”
“I’ll let it slide if he forgives you.”
“If not, we’ll settle all of our scores today!”
Henley’s eyes twitched without pause.
‘Isn’t Harvey just a live-in son-in-law? Isn’t he just some random filth?!’
‘Why does he even have someone legendary like Wes covering his back?!’
Harley’s expression worsened.
She thought she’d be able to crush Harvey easily if she sold her body to Ronnie…
However, she finally realized that Harvey was way more trouble than she could ever expect!
Ronnie’s expression changed frantically; he didn’t want to kneel to Harvey.
“Let me explain, Mr. Pagan. I…” he said after taking a step forward.

He was immediately slapped in the face before he could even finish his sentence.
“Enough nonsense. Apologize.”
Ronnie covered his bright red face and gritted his teeth.
“This really is just a misunderstanding, Mr.
Pagan. I didn’t know…”

Wes swung the back of his palm forward.
Both sides of Ronnie’s face were completely swollen. It was a miserable sight.
Safe to say, Ronnie was no different than a dead dog getting beaten around. Despite him showing off and threatening to kill Harvey, he wouldn’t dare let out a single grunt, nor did he fight back at all.
After taking a deep breath, he gritted his teeth once again.
“Mr. Pagan, please….”

Wes gave another slap without hesitation.
“Apologize. Didn’t you hear me?”
Ronnie’s head was spinning around. He had a horrible expression when he realized that everyone was looking at him with strange expressions.
After thinking of Wes’s way of doing things, he finally gave in.
“I’m sorry, Sir York,” he exclaimed while gritting his teeth.
The sound of his teeth rubbing against each other could be heard clearly.
He was filled with nothing but resentment.
Ronnie would remember everything; he planned to pay everything back to Harvey sooner or later!
“Do you have a bad memory, or are you just acting dumb?”
“Kneel, apologize, and pay up!”

Ronnie didn’t expect Harvey to press on him further.
“Don’t you dare cross the line, Harvey! I’m warning you, I…”

Harvey swung the back of his palm across Ronnie’s face.
“Show some sincerity if you’re going to apologize. Are you threatening me right now?”
Ronnie didn’t think that Harvey would actually hit him.

Harvey slapped Ronnie to the ground.
A few people stepped up, but they were all scared off by Arlet’s cold glare.
The tension in the air was so thick, it could be cut with a knife.
