Chapter 4244
The storm had ended.
Harvey York had no intention of making things harder for Sydney Lee and Luca Robbins.
He only planned to suppress the two.
Thomas Burton would have to turn the tables himself.
Dariel Jackson gasped while watching from the side.
He constantly warned himself not to go against Harvey unless he had a death wish.
Then, Dariel told his men to kick Luca and the others out before respectfully ordering a few dishes and renewing Thomas’ membership card.
Safe to say that he had already paid as much respect as he could to Harvey.
Harvey tapped on Dariel’s shoulder without saying a word.
A simple action was enough to send cold shivers down Dariel’s spine.
After the meal, Harvey told Thomas to send him back to his villa. They also agreed to take a look at Harvey’s new shop together the next day.
After heading inside, Harvey felt something odd after realizing that Mandy Zimmer was not home yet.
Knowing her, she would not stay out late unless something big had happened.
Harvey frowned. Just as he was about to give a call, the sound of a loud engine was heard coming from outside.
A Maserati parked at the entrance.
A tall and handsome man came out of the car. He gracefully opened the car door for Mandy to exit and watched her head inside.
He did not even lay his finger on Mandy while he showed a profound look on his face.
He calmly looked in Harvey’s direction after sensing his gaze. Then, he turned around and left after showing a faint smile.
Harvey’s gaze instantly turned cold.
Silas John was the one who got disrespected during the engagement ceremony with Ellen Moreno.
After looking at his face, he seemed completely recovered after plastic surgery.
He was the one who sent Mandy home that night.
A sense of hostility wafted in the air.
Harvey frowned. He was just about to head outside…
But Mandy opened the door before he could.
After waving from afar, Silas casually left.
Harvey stopped in his tracks with a profound look on his face.
A whiff of alcohol could be smelled on Mandy as soon as she headed inside.
Mandy smiled the moment she saw Harvey.
“What? You’re worried that I’ll be home late?”
“Don’t worry. Alma John introduced her brother to me.”
“We might have a chance to work together in the future.”
Harvey frowned.
“You should stay away from him, Mandy.”
“He’s not a good man.”
“Why would you say that?”
Mandy showed a confused expression.
“He even told me about his sad story while we ate.”
“He said there was a woman he loved back in Hong Kong. The two fell in love at first sight, but some gangster ruined everything.”
“From then onward, he decided to remain single.”
He’d keep himself away from any woman.
“It’s rare to see such a romantic man!”
Then, Mandy curiously looked into Harvey’s eye.
“You’re not actually jealous, are you?”
