“I won’t force you to pull out your present right now! I’ll give you two hours to buy anything you want in the mall,”

Harley revealed a prideful smile after hearing her brother’s confident words.
“Yeah! You dare to bet?!”
“Or are you saying two hours isn’t enough?”
“Beg for more time, then! If you do, we’ll gladly give you two months for it!”
“You’ll have time to even sell your kidneys if you want to!”
“That said, I don’t think your kidneys would be worth that much anyway.”
Harley had a mocking expression.
After all, 1.5 million dollars wasn’t an obtainable amount for ordinary people, even if they worked their entire lives.
“I don’t need two hours for that. I have a gift for Xynthia right here.”
Harvey flashed them a faint smile before pulling out the gift box Dariel gave him prior to this.
He had already taken a peek at what was inside.
It was a diamond necklace.
He didn’t look into it too much, but he assumed it was something good if Dariel had it in the first place.
At the very least, it’d be better than what Westin pulled out.
“A gift?”

“You talk like you already have a present for her before you come!”
“What can you even get? A forty-dollar ring? An eighty-dollar necklace?”
“Do you think I don’t know that poor people like you just love showing off?”
“Show us the gift, then! Stop hiding it from us!”
“How are we supposed to know what you have in that box if you don’t open it?”
The crowd burst out laughing. Naturally, they were certain Harvey was just putting up a front.

‘Where would he get all that money from?”

‘Gifts are bought with real money. They can’t be faked like a check!”
Xynthia felt a little guilty; she knew that her brother-in-law was extremely capable, but she didn’t think that Harvey actually prepared such an expensive gift just for her.
“Let’s just go home, Harvey. We don’t need to spout nonsense with them,” she said, looking into Harvey’s eyes.
She didn’t mind being dragged into the situation, but she didn’t want Harvey being constantly ridiculed.
