In their eyes, Harvey had without question tainted Kairi.
Harvey smiled at their reactions, and calmly let go of Kairi’s hand.
Even so, a hint of her fragrance was still lingering between his fingertips.
Kairi smiled.
“No matter the reason, you managed to deal with a dangerous crisis.”
“If you didn’t, even if she doesn’t get to kill me, many innocents would be dragged into this.”
“I’d be blamed for the innocents instead.”
Kairi flashed him a dreamy smile.
“No matter the perspective, I owe you a huge favor.”
“From now on, you’re my friend! Let me know whatever you need from me. I’ll do anything in my power to help!”
“It’s cliche to say something like this, but I really mean it.”
“Even if I’m gone, you can bring my name card to my father or…fiance…”
Kairi pulled out a card before putting it in Harvey’s hand.
“They’ll do everything they can to help.”
Harvey held the exquisite-looking card; it had been carved from a special type of wood. There was only a name and a number on it.
Yet, it was enough to tell that ordinary people had no right to even touch the card.
Harvey instinctively looked at the card, and noticed a few markings.
The woman was indeed from the Patel family…
The same family who had been governing all of Golden Sands!
From another standpoint, the Patel family was a lot more powerful and mysterious compared to the other hidden families.
The woman was clearly out of the ordinary, her status was most likely a lot higher than Elias’s.
The thought came to Harvey’s mind. He then smiled at Kairi.
“I’ll have to thank you for that.”
Seeing Harvey reacting unlike any other man when he got the card, Kairi’s interest was piqued.
It seemed her identity and looks couldn’t captivate him one bit.
As her curiosity about him grew, she couldn’t help but think that their meeting was fate.
“If you may, I’d like to hear you call me Kairi.”
She flashed him a welcoming look and smiled.
“And not Ms. Patel.”
“Of course, Kairi.”
Harvey immediately changed the subject.
“Are you here in Hong Kong and Las Vegas for a vacation?”
“I’m here to look for some medicine. I’m here to see an old friend as well.”
Kairi didn’t bother hiding anything from Harvey.
“But judging from the way things are, someone here’s preventing me from going back to the Golden Sands.”
‘Medicine?’
Harvey narrowed his eyes; it seemed like he was right after all-there was something wrong with Kairi.
Harvey smiled.
“I know a lot of people here. Maybe I can help with what you’re finding.”
“Maybe something that can deal with insect poison…”
“Forget it. Thank you for your kindness, but I can deal with this myself.”
Kairi immediately held back.
After all, she could already tell that there were a lot of eyes on her because of the incident.
If Harvey knew too much, he’d get dragged into the mess as well.
