Katy didn’t pick up her phone immediately. She showed Harvey an apologetic smile before going to the side of the street for a few minutes.
Harvey could clearly tell she was in distress.
When Katy hung up on the phone, she had a faint smile as she walked toward Harvey.
“What? Did something happen?” Harvey casually asked.
“You’re the head of the South Sea Gang. Nobody would dare go against you here.”
Katy flashed him a bitter smile.
“You’re kidding me, Sir York. The South Sea Gang might have a bit of authority in Hong Kong and Las Vegas…”
“But things are different here in the South Sea.”
“Other than my secretary and a few trusted subordinates, I didn’t bring anyone else with me.”
“I thought I could just leave after dealing with my grandfather’s condition…”
“But things don’t always go as planned.”
“Do you need my help?” Harvey asked.
“It’s just the family business; it’s not hard to deal with at all. It’s just a little troublesome, is all.”
Katy rubbed her temples.
“There’s something you don’t know, Sir York. The Cobb family is one of three great families of the South Sea, but there are a lot of factions that separate us.”
“The head house is the strongest one there is, but my grandfather’s assets in the family have been robbed in secret by the other houses.”
“He demanded the houses to return his assets after he recovered, but they still wouldn’t oblige
“That said, they already had their plans in motion.”
“While my grandfather was still healthy, these tricks meant nothing to him.”
“But after he was defeated by Julio, these people started causing a ruckus again.”

Harvey trusted Katy’s ability to deal with the problems, but it was still better for him to ask about this.

“If that wasn’t the case, I would’ve been able to get the money back by now.”

“Hello, Miss Cobb. I talked to CEO Toft, just as you asked.”
“I tried convincing him to give you a chance and meet up for dinner.”
“He said he’s willing to talk about the bad debt.”
“You need to seize the opportunity, Miss Cobb!”
“Thank you, Miss Johnson,” Katy replied. “I won’t forget what you’ve done for me if we manage to deal with the situation.”
