Harvey York’s Rise To Power Chapter 3655
Chapter 3655
Harvey couldn’t help but nod upon hearing Elanor’s explanation.
As expected from Jeff’s military advisor; not only was her analysis extremely reasonable, but her thought process was quite thorough as well.
Harvey took a sip of his tea, and then smiled.
“So this means that the so–called war between the two countries is actually a front to attack me?”
“They’re planning to hit two birds with one stone, aren’t they?”
Rachel and Elanor looked at each other before nodding.
“That’s right.”
“Interesting.”
“I wasn’t even planning to go for them, yet they’re already coming for me…”
A playful look appeared on Harvey’s face.
“If they want a fight, then that’s what they’ll get!”
“Rachel, send word to Axel.”
“Tell him I’ll challenge every single top talent of India on the peak of Flutwell seven days later.”
“Tell them to come if they’re not scared to die!”
“I’ll kill every single one of them if I have to!”
Right as Harvey declared a battle against the Indians…
The Longmen Headquarters, in a manor located on the foot of the Holy Mountain…
The higher–ups were all gathered there.
“We cannot accept the challenge, no matter the cost!”
“The Indians came prepared! Surely they have something up their sleeve! The odds are against us!”
“I investigated the situation before; the champions who fought against the Indians were all defeated in three moves!”
“The only person who hadn’t fought yet is the newly–appointed head of Longmen’s Law Enforcement, Harvey York.”
“I asked the examiner of the current tournament, Fisher Benett, about the situation; even he wouldn’t dare say Harvey’s invincible.”
“Besides, even if he actually is, he won’t be able to stop all of India’s top talents on his own.”
“The Indians are going all out for this fight!”
At this moment, an elderly man with white hair was expressing his opinions in front of the
round conference table.
“I understand your concern, but this is an extremely dire situation!”
“If we don’t fight back, we’ll be criticized by the public, saying that we don’t care enough to fight and that we think the Indians aren’t playing fair.”
“If we accept the challenge, it’ll be fine if we win–if we lose, not only will Longmen’s reputation be affected, but the entire country will be frowned upon.”
“Longmen will be beaten to a pulp on the street, like rats!”
“We won’t be able to keep our status as one of the country’s four cornerstones if that were to happen!”
“That’s why I suggest not to accept the challenge!”
“And not just that, we’ll also ignore all of the Indians‘ provocations!”
“We’ll get people from the government to block off all news and videos circulating around the internet. Then, we’ll chase those Indians out for illegal immigration.”
“Since the master isn’t here, I’ll have to take action as the vice master.”
Naturally, the person who said all this was none other than Bryce Kennedy.
He was an experienced man even within Longmen itself; he had quite a powerful status, as well as an eloquent tongue. The elders who participated in the meeting were all nodding in unison upon hearing his words.
At this point, they were only seeking to get through this tough situation.
They wouldn’t have the face to show themselves if they actually ruined Longmen’s reputation!
