Elanor had a faint smile when she saw Harvey calming down.
She glanced at Harvey with a profound look on her face, and said quietly, “I have to admit, you’re very bold. The things you do are out of the ordinary.”
“You killed your way to Charity Garden all by yourself, then you humiliated Young Master Bauer before shooting him in the arms.”
“Aren’t you scared of him lashing out?”
Elanor’s voice seemed to grow a little colder.
“Am I supposed to call you reckless or bold?”
A hint of rage could be seen in Elanor’s distant expression.
Instead of losing her classy persona, the unspeakable aura she exuded was amplified by the emotions inside her.
She had a face that was asking for punishment, yet, any man would want to be with her.
She would be hated at first, but any man would want to conquer her after being with her for a while.
“Are you done talking?”
Harvey showed no emotion.
“Sit down already.”
“I’m already giving you enough respect for letting you off the hook for what happened.”
“Besides, I wouldn’t mind killing or crippling Jeff if he’s really planning to fight me.”
“All I need to do is to pull the trigger anyway.”
Elanor couldn’t help but be enraged upon looking at Harvey’s calm expression.
After a long while, she sat down angrily in front of Harvey. She gulped down a glass of water to calm herself down.
“Speak. You came all the way here to negotiate for Young Master Bauer, didn’t you?”
“You were the one who suggested he should become allies with me, right?”
Harvey took a sip of his tea, still calm.
“That’s right. The enemy of my enemy might not be my friend, but they’ll definitely be good allies.”
“I didn’t think you’d be reckless enough to cause this much trouble, though. There would’ve been no end to this fight!”
Harvey chuckled.
“You think so?”
“The other two brothers are the ones benefiting from the fight.”
“Young Master Bauer only held back because he wanted me to deal with Joseph.”
“Am I wrong?”
Elanor’s face darkened in an instant.
“You’re right,” she said after a sigh.
“Young Master did mean to do this, but remember, we aren’t using you. This is an
alliance!”
“After all, we all have enemies to deal with. It’s better to fight them together than alone, right?”
“An alliance? That’s nice of you to say.”
“If I’m guessing correctly, I’ll be the only one taking action while Young Master Bauer adds fuel to the flames!”
“After I deal with both of his enemies and he takes the position of the master of his family, he may even come back and bite me.”
“He might just kill me once and for all to reclaim his pride.”
“Am I right?”
