At the Bauer family’s courtyard inside Flutwell.
Elanor strutted into the Bauer family’s most well–known entertainment spot while scrolling through the documents on her phone.
Jeff was training with a few wolfhounds, his defined muscles on his body clearly
visible.
The wolfhounds had been starving for days. They had fierce and ruthless expressions, as if they had completely forgotten who their master was. All they thought about was food to fill their stomachs.
Jeff remained as steady as a rock even in front of the starving dogs; every punch he threw was enough to send the dogs flying.
Jeff was in a playful state before he saw Elanor. He instantly grabbed one of the dogs with both hands and twisted its neck, drawing its final breath.
After throwing the dead dog to the ground as food for the rest, Jeff took the warm water his servants brought and wiped his body with it.
He then respectfully walked toward Elanor.
“You’re early today, Fifth. Is there good news that you want to share with me?”
Jeff had a warm smile…
But people who knew him could see that he was just hiding his murderous intent.
“It’s not good, but it’s not bad either.”
Elanor returned his smile and stood beside Jeff. The two then went on a walk soon
after.
“Harvey’s a lot more powerful and ruthless than we thought.”
“When I met him yesterday, I was planning to use the bulls to take control of the negotiation.”
“But he killed the yellow bull and foiled my plans immediately.”
“I wanted to show him our strength, but he was the one who got the upper hand instead.”
“Another thing. He said he’ll give us three days to pay the money back. He’ll add fifteen million dollars of interest after each passing day.”
“And if he still doesn’t get the money after that…”
“He’ll kill you for good.”
Elanor carefully looked at Jeff. Seeing the curious expression on him, she continued speaking.
“Based on my analysis, Harvey will definitely use force if he doesn’t get the money back.”
“He might just kill his way here!”
“Plus, Harvey has been doing a lot for the past few days.”
“He managed to trample all over Ai and Commissioner Thompson just last night.”
“He’s a ruthless man…”
“His actions seemed illogical, but it’s actually a lesson for us.
“He’s warning us that our identity can’t scare him off.”
Elanor handed the phone to Jeff, showing the details of what had happened the past few days.
She couldn’t help but sigh.
She didn’t want to pay any attention to Harvey, nor did she want to pass his words to Jeff…
But after Commissioner Thompson and the Capital Gang were dealt with that easily, she had no choice but to keep her guard up.
“Interesting. He dealt with both the Capital Gang and Commissioner Thompson?”
Jeff revealed a faint smile.
