Vince’s eyes lit up. He then whispered into Lexie sears.
“If we’re going to deal with my cheap mother, we’ll need to be a lot more careful.”
“She’s been acting really suspicious since the past few years, but my fourth uncle still loves her all the same.”
“She even has peak Kings of Arms surrounding her every waking moment.”
“If we want her dead, we’ll have to make sure we succeed in one go. If not, we’ll only cause more trouble for ourselves.”
“It shouldn’t be too hard.”
Lexie flashed Vince a warm smile before dialing
a number on her phone.
“The number one killer organization of Country H, the House of Phantoms.”
“They owe me a favor.”
On the next day, early in the morning. After waking up from the presidential suite of the
Three Seasons Hotel, Harvey noticed a few texts
on his phone.
One of them was a report of Akio’s status from Katy.
Other than Akio’s successful escape, the other Islanders were now in the hands of the Nanyang Gang. It probably wouldn’t end well for those
Islanders.
Another text was information about the peerless
sniper. Yoana suspected the man to be a long lost young master from the Yorks of Hong Kong,

The last text was from George. He looked up Teal ‘s background as Harvey instructed him.

Harvey narrowed his eyes for a moment as he thought. Then, he sent another series of orders before rising from his bed to wash up.
Just as he was about to have his breakfast, his phone rang
Selena called. According to her, there was
trouble and she needed Harvey to come.
Harvey froze, but he did not hesitate to change his clothes as fast as he could before hailing a cab to the Yorks’ garden villa.
Because of the rush hour, it took Harvey almost two hours just to get to the garden villa. When he finally arrived, it was already ten o’clock in the morning
Soon after, a servant led Harvey to Selena’s
study.
Selena was wearing a simple gown, with her hair
tied up neatly. She had no makeup on.
Even so, her face and figure made her look like a goddess who couldn’t be disobeyed.
She calmly looked around the study, which had been thoroughly ruined.
Walking forward, Harvey realized that someone had deliberately set a fire here, which rendered
some of the documents inside into ashes.
“This happened five or six o’clock in the morning,” Selena said the moment Harvey showed up.
“The surveillance systems broke before the fire happened. Only when everything was mostly burnt up half an hour later did the alarm go off.”
“Judging from how things appeared, someone experienced must’ve done this.”
“These are documents about the incident ten
years ago that I’ve been gathering for the past few days.”
“Looks like you were right. Someone was involved with the incident, after all.”
“If that wasn’t the case, why would anyone risk setting a fire here?”
