Harvey York showed a faint smile.
“I‘ll be frank, Lady Judd. Other than the truth, you need two other things.”
“What else do I need?!”
Selena Judd clearly frowned on the other side of the phone.
“Number one, you need full support from Lord York. You and I both know that the higher–ups of the family were involved in the incident ten years ago
“If you don‘t have Lord York‘s full support, it‘ll be useless even if you did get to learn the truth!
You might even die in vain because of it!
“Number two, you need to prepare a substitute.
“Once Vince York is brought down, someone needs to take over his place. That way, the Yorks won‘t be in chaos after. You and Lord York will be able to manage the family better this way.
“Both of you are still young. I believe that if you get another twenty years, you‘ll have your own child all grown up to succeed you.”
Harvey sneakily implied that Vince was the culprit of what happened ten years ago.
Selena was dead silent for a long while on the other side.
“Sir York, I‘ll think about what you said.
“You need to keep yourself safe as well.
“Lexie‘s the fifth lady of the Yorks, but she‘s also the lady of the Dragon Palace!
“Don‘t be fooled by her pure and innocent looks! Countless men have died to her facade for so many years!
“Don‘t you dare die on me before the truth is found!”
Harvey chuckled.
“Thanks for your concern,” replied Harvey calmly.
“Lexie won‘t be enough to kill me.”
“Another thing. I‘ll tell my husband about this. We‘ll treat you to a meal in the garden villa sometime,” said Selena nonchalantly.
Harvey froze before showing a smile.
“Of course. When you two are free, I‘ll surely allocate some time.”
“And no matter what‘s going to happen next, at least you cured a part of my sickness. I‘ll be able to sleep well for the next few days,” replied Lexie with a tender tone.
“I‘ll officially invite you to Grandma York‘s birthday banquet. I‘ll introduce you to some friends when you‘re there.”
Harvey chuckled. He knew this was Selena‘s way of forming an alliance with him.
He was not interested in Grandma York‘s birthday at all, but he did not reject the offer either.
“Even though I‘m still opposed to the Yorks of Hong Kong, I‘ll definitely attend the banquet on time if you‘ll invite me.”
After hanging up the phone, Harvey closed his eyes in peace.
He knew full well what Selena and Lord York‘s invitation meant.
Selena had some form of evidence in a really
short time and managed to convince her husband.
She was most likely verifying the information at this moment.
After that, Harvey would definitely have to show up for a meal.
Harvey was utterly impressed. The waters of the Yorks were terribly deep…
Even if a God of War were to get involved with the Yorks, they would probably die before realizing what happened.
