Harvey York’s Rise To Power Chapter 2716
Chapter 2716
When Yoana arrived with her subordinates at the hotel, the place was already cleaned up. Even the blood between the floor tiles was long gone.
Air fresheners had been mixed in the air along with the scent of sunlight, covering up quite a bit of murderous intent and the blood that had seeped in the air.
In the garden, a long table filled with pastries stood in front of Harvey. The smell alone was refreshing and hunger–inducing.
Harvey had no appetite for food, but he was calmly sipping his black tea.
He gestured to Yoana to sit down after seeing her arrival.
Harvey met quite a lot of women in both Hong Kong and Las Vegas. Zina, Leslie, Irene, and
many others…
But out of every single one of them, only Yoana could be considered to be his most trusted comrade.
Yoana was very decisive in her actions. Harvey admired that fact.
It was also why only people of the Dragon Palace‘ s branch showed up to help.
Harvey believed Yoana would be able to deal with the situation properly, without him having to worry about anything.
“What do you think about what happened yesterday?” Harvey asked calmly before pouring Yoana a cup of tea.
Yoana didn‘t hesitate to answer him.
“You shouldn‘t have killed Scarlett, Sir York.”
“I didn‘t, though.”
Harvey shrugged.
“She killed herself. She wanted to die for what
she believed in. Nobody could stop her.”
“Everyone here can vouch for me.”
Yoana sighed.
“All of them are our people. Their testimonies
have no worth.”
“The surveillance systems were all completely hacked, too. At this point, we can‘t prove that you didn‘t kill Scarlett at this point.”
Harvey smiled.
“What?”
“Are Vince and the Five Virtues Temple going to call the cops on me?”
“Are they planning to deal with me using the
law?”
Yoana massaged her temples, frowning.
“If they‘re only planning to use the cops, there wouldn‘t be a problem for us.”
“But after Scarlett‘s death, it‘ll be hard to find proof that Vince was the one who coerced the Sword Saint into challenging you.”
“Don‘t we still have Mitchell?” Harvey asked.
“He‘s dead.”
I Harve?
Yoana‘s face was ugly.
“He died in prison last night after leaving his last words. He wrote that he‘s always been loyal to Longmen, and that the organization would die in your hands sooner or later.”
“He‘s a small fry, but he‘s still willing to die for his cause.”
Yoana pulled out the letter Mitchell had written and set it in front of Harvey. The letter was filled with words of confidence, along with blatant
threats.
After reading it for a moment, Harvey flicked the paper and turned it into dust.
He glanced at Edwin and said, “Send word to Longmen‘s Law Enforcement. Tell everyone that Mitchell ended his own life for fear of his impending punishment, and that he listed every single person that he conspired with on a piece of paper.”
“Tell them that if anyone from Longmen‘s Law Enforcement turns themselves in, they‘ll be
given lenient punishment.”
“And if they resist, then they should dig themselves a hole to lie in first.”
“Of course!”
Edwin swiftly carried out Harvey‘s order.
Several Longmen disciples followed him, guaranteeing that the message would be sent to Rachel and the rest as soon as possible.
Yoana was shocked by Harvey‘s decisiveness. He was extremely quick to come up with a plan to deal with such trouble.
No matter how Mitchell died…
Harvey would still be able to use the opportunity to take control of Longmen‘s Law Enforcement while also establishing his dominance within the organization.
It didn‘t matter if Mitchell ended his own life, or if someone else got to him first. At this very moment, none of that mattered…
