Harvey York’s Rise To Power Chapter 2581
Chapter 2581
At present, no one else could figure out to whom the long sword exactly belonged.
It looked quite broken, and didn’t seem to hold much value as a collection item either.
After taking a closer look, many of the wealthy customers felt that the long sword wasn’t worth bidding
Especially when the starting price was 1.5 million dollars.
Right then, Harvey could feel Sharon trembling in her seat. She was looking at the long sword with a passionate gaze, as if she was looking at her own father.
Harvey immediately understood: she knew full well whom the long sword belonged to.
In the end, this was to be expected. If anyone knew that Country H’s living legend used this sword before, countless people would stop at nothing to get their hands on it.
It’d be better if the long sword didn’t end up
with anyone else.
Without hesitating, Harvey tapped on Leslie’s
shoulder.
“We’ll buy this.”
Leslie glanced at Harvey, full of curiosity. She didn’t know why Harvey wanted the item, but she wasted no time to raise her sign.
“One hundred and fifty million dollars.”
The relaxed environment immediately froze.
Many customers exchanged doubtful glances. They didn’t understand why anyone would pay such a huge price for a broken long sword.
A hundred and fifty million dollars on the line, after all!
Sharon and Murphy froze as well, before turning
to shoot furious glares at Leslie.
Sharon was determined to get the long sword by hook or by crook. Yet, Leslie had already bid at such a high price before Sharon could say
anything
Was Leslie just as determined as her? Or was this woman simply stirring up trouble for no reason?
Sharon’s gaze turned ice-cold.She wanted nothing more than to strangle Leslie.

It was a shame that Leslie was the first one to name a price. Her actions proved her resolve in acquiring the sword.
Everyone in the hall assumed that the distinguished lady of the Clarke family must be
fond of the sword, since she was bidding so
eagerly.
Or perhaps, she knew who the sword belonged
to.
If that was the case, it explained why she bid at such a high price.
The implication was obvious. Bidding against her at this moment would mean going against her!
“The item’s not introduced yet. You’re breaking the rules for naming a price before the auction even begins. Hereby, I declare your right to auction revoked…”
Right when everyone was sure that the long sword would end up in Leslie’s hands…
A distant yet soothing voice echoed from the back of the auction hall, the sound so low it resembled a soft whisper.
It was a voice that seemed detached from worldly pleasures.
Judging from the words spoken, it was as if that person was blatantly insulting the sword.
Leslie’s expression worsened immediately.
Harvey frowned, turning to look behind him.
Without giving others any time to react, the distant voice echoed once again.
“The owner of this broken long sword was the legendary Head Coach of Sword Camp, a living legend of the military force.”
“The sword is worth much, but there is something even more valuable than it.”
“Whoever who possesses it will be able to request anything from the legendary Head Coach.”
“You all should know how priceless that request alone is!”
“Since the starting bid of this sword is 1.5 million, the subsequent bids cannot be any lower than that amount! You may begin!”
The crowd went wild after hearing those words.
Harvey was the only one with a dumbfounded expression.
‘Who on earth decided that this thing can be traded for a request?’
Back during the war, he had snapped the sword in half and tossed it aside on the battlefield.
Who knew that it would be found again, and be
given such an immense worth at that?
What a joke!
