“How could Harvey be this disrespectful toward someone like that?!”
Vince York handed Elmer a cup of tea with a calm smile.
“It’s simple, really. He’s not just a branch leader of Mordu’s Longmen branch. To him, the title is just an added bonus!
“I’m sure you’ve heard of his true identity before this!

“Even Melissa Leo suffered significant losses against him before she was forced to return to
Hong Kong!
“The assets of South Light’s only top family are all in his hands.
“A man like that can’t be dealt with that easily.”
Vince spoke calmly while showing a bitter look on his face.
Elmer frowned before glaring at Vince furiously.
“If that’s the case, why didn’t you tell us from the beginning?!”
“I told you not to get involved, but did you listen?
“Even if I did tell you his real identity, with your and Haider’s arrogance, would any of you listen? Would you even believe me?”
Vince kept shifting the blame while convincing Elmer to focus on something else.
“If I want you two to get it together and deal
with this ignorant fool with all your might…
“The only way to achieve that is for both of you to suffer some losses.
“That way, you’ll understand that if you want to deal with people like this, you’ll give it all you’ve
got!”
Elmer’s expression kept changing. Soon, he managed to calm down quite a bit.
“So, you’re saying you won’t stand up for me?” asked Elmer quietly after a short while.
Vince sighed in secret after trying so hard to change the subject, yet Elmer was still fixated on the subject.
Old men like this would usually have a horrible
temper and be quite sensitive about their reputation.
Typically speaking, they were pretty easy to fool and take advantage of…
But the bastard, Harvey, did something so bad that Elmer insisted on Vince to stand up for him even after a long conversation.
Without a second thought, Vince knew that if he did not do as Elmer asked, he would likely lose one of his best supporters.

Elmer’s eyes twitched slightly after hearing that name. He calmed himself down soon after.
“Elder Evans, if I remember correctly, didn’t your grandson get himself a girlfriend who’s a royalty from The Empire of the Sun that Never Sets while he’s studying at Bladeford University?”
“That’s right.”
Elmer was filled with pride after hearing those
words.
His grandson getting close to the country’s royalty was his biggest pride and joy.
