Harvey York’s Rise To Power Chapter 2457 Read Online

Chapter 2457

Aside from the fact that Harvey had no interest in Feng Shui and that he couldn’t give two hoots about flattery…

He also knew that Jon was praising him for a reason. The man bore ulterior motives, and every word spoken was just to elicit responses from Harvey.

“I heard you come from China. Did you train at the legendary Mount Longhu?”

“However, I’m told that the House of Priests never recruits people with common surnames. I wonder how you got in?”

Jon was trying to test Harvey.

The House of Priests located on Mount Longhu was the holy place of Feng Shui, renowned in the entire Great Country H.

“As I’ve said, I’m not a Feng Shui master. I don’t know anything about Feng Shui.”

Harvey remained stoic and taciturn. The reason his blood could dissipate evil spirits from the yin energy was because he had killed on the battlefield for many years. His killing intent was restrained after he retired, but it had been deeply integrated into his blood. As such, his blood contained special properties.

However, this was something he couldn’t explain. If he did, he would expose his identity.

“If that’s the case, do you have any masters?”

Jon was stunned by Harvey’s reply. After a moment, he overcame his surprise and smiled.

“I often see how people accidentally found an ancient scroll and then learnt the skills themselves in TV dramas.”

“Such talent and such luck are hard to believe!”

Harvey didn’t intend to continue this topic with Jon. Frowning, he said, “Yes, I am self-taught. If you want to ask me what books I’ve read, I can tell you that. They are the Book of Changes and the Book of Prophecy, Tui Bei Tu and Shao Bing

Ge.”

Harvey casually mentioned a few books, all of which were Feng Shui-related masterpieces of the Great Country H. O

TITAT

He wasn’t completely wrong. If anyone could finish reading those books, then mastering Feng Shui was certainly no longer a problem.

“Oh, I see. Self-taught…”

Jon didn’t continue his questions when he heard Harvey’s honest answers. He scrutinized Harvey carefully and said with great interest, “Since you have such impressive abilities and are neither

arrogant nor impetuous while facing me, can you tell me which wealthy family you are from?”

“I might have been to your clan to check the

Feng Shui and physiognomy.”

“Perhaps we are acquaintances of some sort?”

Harvey replied indifferently, “Indeed, I come from a top-class family. Unfortunately, that family has long since fallen apart!”

“My personality is the way it is because I’ve experienced a lot in life. I’ve grown numb to

many things, and there is little that can startle

me.”

“But why are you so curious about me? Why do you ask me so many questions? What are you trying to do?”

“Would you like me to be your heir?”

“Too bad, but I’m not interested in such things.”

“I also don’t want a master. If that’s what you’re trying to sell, well, no thanks!”

Harvey’s indifferent words did nothing to deter Jon’s smile. “You don’t need to be so nervous, Harvey. I’m asking because I want to known about something.”

Jon leaned on the sofa and narrowed his eyes at Harvey.

A man with neither a prominent background nor a strong division, yet had mastered such impressive skills. To say Jon was jealous of Harvey’s skills was an understatement!

Jon felt that no matter how skilful Harvey was, Harvey wouldn’t be able to conceal how he got his skills as he didn’t have power or a strong background.
