Vance didn’t speak up instantly. Instead, he put his legs on the table before gesturing to the women around him to massage him.

He took a sip of his red wine, and looked at Katy and Harvey curiously.

A few bodyguards crossed their arms as they sized up Katy and Harvey; they were trying to figure out where the two got their courage to show off in front of Vance.

“You b*stard!”

Before Vance could even say anything, a young man with long hair took a step forward. The young man pointed rudely at Harvey, looking furious.

“CEO Toft told you to come alone, yet you brought a man here with you?!” he yelled, his tone carrying the might of his boss’s authority.

“Get this man out of here!”

“If you don’t, don’t blame us for what happens next!”

The young man’s friends chuckled wretchedly and stood up, flexing their fingers. They were fully prepared to take out Harvey if he didn’t leave.

Harvey glanced at them casually before flashing them a faint smile.

“Looks like nobody here is planning to have a talk with you about your business.”

“I was definitely worth the hire, right?”

“Should we get Vance to kneel in front of you after this?”

Katy scoffed, irked at them.

“I’ll leave that up to you.”

After seeing Katy and Harvey acting so intimate.

The young man felt extremely humiliated, and immediately lashed out in anger.

“What the hell are you saying, you b*stard?!”

“You’re calling out CEO Toft’s name as if nothing even happened!”

“Do you have a death wish?!”

“Come on!”

“Break his limbs and throw him out of here!”

Lana and the others were watching the show in glee as three bodyguards rolled up their sleeves. and stepped forward.

The young man grabbed a bottle of beer on the table as well.

The beautiful women leaned on their men after seeing the sight; they felt extremely safe in their partners arms.

They all thought that Katy had completely wasted her good-looking face.

Katy glanced calmly at Vance.

Vance flashed Katy a profound look as he stared her in the eye.

“That word doesn’t exist in my dictionary.”

“Besides, I already told you. You better show your sincerity if you want your money back!”

“Yet, look at you now! You don’t even look the part!”

“Not just that, you’re here causing all this trouble. You have no respect for me!”

“But since you’re so good-looking, I’ll give you a chance.”

“Accompany me for the night! Kneel and lick my toes.”

“I’ll consider giving your money back after that.”

Vance chuckled, there was a strong smell of alcohol coming out of his mouth. He pointed at Harvey.

“If not, not just you…”

“This kept man here will be dragged down with you too!”

“Since I’ve said that, even God won’t be able to save you now!”

“As expected from an outstanding woman!”

Vance picked up the laptop in front of him, which was full of Katy’s pictures.

He kept flipping through the pages, filled with uncontrollable lust.

“I heard Miss Cobb has been studying abroad. She hasn’t been toyed with yet too, I see! Not bad! I like her a lot!”

“I’ve been having bad luck recently. This virgin is just what I need!”

“I like her! I like her a lot!”

Vance opened a bottle of red wine and took a sip, and waggled his tongue around with a dirty expression.

Lara smiled shyly and handed a few blue pills to Vance.

“Don’t you worry, CEO Toft. You can only get this stuff in India! You’ll be invincible after you take these,” she whispered.

Vance burst out laughing and pinched Lara’s face with a smile.

“How thoughtful of you!”

“Don’t worry. I’ll make sure you get the money you deserve!”

The door was pushed open at this moment. It wasn’t as loud, but it made enough noise for everyone to look over.

Vance stopped talking as well. He gripped his goblet and casually strutted toward the door. He wanted to see what kind of ignorant fool would open his door all of a sudden.

Vance had encountered similar things before when he was out clubbing. A bunch of drunk people would go crazy in his box, and he would get his subordinates to break their limbs and throw them to the hospital.

The guests there were excited to see the same thing happen again.

The men had playful looks on their faces, while the women looked utterly exhilarated.

Lara patted her chest and let out a huge sigh upon seeing Katy’s face.

She was glad that Katy had showed up. Vance would’ve crippled her if she couldn’t complete her

mission.

Just as she was about to grab Katy, she noticed Harvey beside Katy.

“What’s the meaning of this, Katy?!” Lara screeched, a horrible look on her face.

“Did you not understand me?”

“I don’t care where you came from, but you better get out of here and go away as far as you can!”

“Remember! As far as you can!”

Vance, who had a small grin.

Katy looked over as well before taking a step forward.

“You must be Vance.”

Everyone couldn’t help but freeze after seeing Katy’s cold expression.

Even Lara couldn’t figure out what was going on.

“I heard there was a woman with a bit of status who came to Blackburn City for a vacation. She got taken advantage of soon after that…”

“She then jumped into the sea without hesitation and died.”

“It was a massive incident back then; the woman’s family demanded a statement from the Blackburn City Martial Arts Alliance.”

“In the end, Rhett managed to silence the entire thing.”

Katy’s eyes were cold.

“This made Vance think he was the king of Blackburn City. He believed that he could sleep with any woman he wanted and deal with any kind of situation as he pleased.”

“People like that are hard to deal with.”

“He preys on tourists? Interesting…”

“That said, does he not know that he’s basically killing himself doing this?”

While the faint fragrance of tea spread in the air, Harvey went upstairs to take a shower. He felt very refreshed after changing into his sportswear.

Katy shot him a curious glance. After a while, she burst out laughing.

“If you keep running around me like that, I’ll take a bite out of you sooner or later!”

Harvey pouted after hearing those words.

“No way! I treat you like my sister, yet you’re trying to force yourself on me?”

“How dare you!”

“Tch!”

Katy scoffed.

“Everyone here wants a piece of me.”

“I’m not even interested in any of them, though. I only have you on my mind.”

“In any case…”

“You’ll be missing out when I change my mind!”

Right when the air became a little more heated, Katy’s phone rang again.

She frowned when she picked up the call; it was Lara again.

Lara kept pestering Katy non–stop; other than pestering her to show up to the dinner on time, she also demanded Katy to go alone and endure whatever necessary. 1

Lara said that Vance was being supported by the Blackburn City Martial Arts Alliance, so he was used to being a little lawless. No matter what, Katy wasn’t allowed to go against that man.

Katy, however, casually brushed off the warnings.

“Your friend’s pretty interesting, Katy,” Harvey said, looking curious.

“Are you close to her?” Harvey asked.

“No. The third house of the family introduced her to me.”

“They said that they want ten percent of the money if this goes through,” Katy said quietly, holding

her teacup.

“I thought that the second and third houses were trying to screw me over, but after investigating the situation further, I can confirm that Lara is an actual mediator.”

“There shouldn’t be much of a fuss, then.”

“That said, Vance is quite problematic.”

“He’s the CEO of the Marina Bay Freight Company. There are rumors saying that he has good connections with the person in charge of the Blackburn Martial Arts Alliance, Rhett Padlow.”

“That said, I suspect that Rhett is the real boss of the company.”

“After all, the company takes up one–third of the pier’s logistics volume. It doesn’t seem like much, but it shouldn’t be a problem for the company to make hundreds and millions of dollars.”

The man lit up his cigar and blew a puff of smoke.

What an arrogant sight!

The people walking on the streets immediately scurried after seeing what was happening.

These people had an intimidating look to them.

Harvey looked at them calmly and said, “Get out of here while I’m still in a good mood.”

“Oh? You’re making me leave?!”

The man grinned at him.

“How dare you hit my woman and tell me to scram! I’d be embarrassed if I didn’t at least cripple you right now!”

Katy watched everything calmly without saying a single word…

However, the man still noticed her.

His eyes lit up and his mouth started to water.

“I didn’t think you’re a lucky man, either! I’m pretty envious of you!”

“I’ve decided! You’re sending this woman right to my doorstep today!” he exclaimed.

“I’ll let you off the hook when I’m done with her after a few days!”

The people behind him began showing wretched looks.

They were all exhilarated to see the drop–dead gorgeous woman in front of them.

This was the best way for revenge, after all.

After seeing Harvey’s emotionless face and Katy’s cold expression, the man assumed that they were afraid of him; he immediately reached out, his face wretched and ugly.

“Tsk, tsk, tsk! When I get a hold of those slender legs…”

Before Harvey could do anything, Katy took a step forward and swung the back of her palm across the man’s face while moving away from his hand at the same time.

She then raised her leg and kicked the man’s stomach.

He covered his stomach, screaming in pain, and slammed right into the fence on the side of the wall.

Before he could even get back up, Katy took another step forward and stomped on his index finger with her high heel.

Crack!

The man began squealing like a pig.

Harvey looked at Katy with admiration.

After crippling the man, Katy turned around and slapped the rest of the group to the ground.

She then called her subordinates to drive Harvey and her out of the place.

The car followed Harvey’s instructions and stopped at a townhouse; Queenie had arranged the place for him to stay beforehand.

Harvey invited Katy in for tea to commemorate their relationship as old friends.

“Eight o’clock at night, at the Marina Bay Clubhouse,” the person on the phone said bossily.

“Make sure you get there on time!”

Katy had a faint smile.

After hanging up the phone, Katy glanced at Harvey.

“That’s my middleman, Lara Johnson. She’s a social butterfly of the South Sea.”

“She’s quite familiar with both sides of the underworld.”

“That was why I asked her to bring me and the debtor together.”

“Who’s the debtor?” Harvey asked.

“A transportation company at the pier. The CEO is named Vance Toft.”

“It’s said he has a background in the Blackburn City Martial Arts Alliance. That’s why he’s a tough nut to crack.”

“The Blackburn City Martial Arts Alliance?”

Harvey frowned.

“The South Sea is different from Country H. There aren’t that many factions for martial artists. Everyone would join the Martial Arts Alliance if they want to train.”

“The Blackburn City Martial Arts Alliance is a branch of the South Sea Martial Arts Alliance, their connections and influence are terrifyingly immense.”

“Even the three great families of the South Sea would have to pay their respects to the Blackburn City Martial Arts Alliance.”

“That’s a hornet’s nest, after all. Nobody would dare go against them willy-nilly.”

Harvey showed her a faint smile.

Harvey smiled.

“It’s fine. I’ll just treat this as a little vacation. I’ll be here for a few more days, anyway.”

“I know that I’m not in a place to butt in your work, but I was wondering if I can do something for you tonight…” Katy froze.

Katy burst out laughing. She became cheerful in an instant.

A Ferrari stopped on the side of the road. Its window rolled down, and a harsh mocking voice could be heard soon after.

“You’re the head of the South Sea Gang. Nobody would dare go against you here.”

Katy flashed him a bitter smile.

“You’re kidding me, Sir York. The South Sea Gang might have a bit of authority in Hong Kong and Las Vegas…”

“But things are different here in the South Sea.”

“Other than my secretary and a few trusted subordinates, I didn’t bring anyone else with me.”

“I thought I could just leave after dealing with my grandfather’s condition…”

“But things don’t always go as planned.”

“Do you need my help?” Harvey asked.

“It’s just the family business; it’s not hard to deal with at all. It’s just a little troublesome, is all.”

Katy rubbed her temples.

“There’s something you don’t know, Sir York. The Cobb family is one of three great families of the South Sea, but there are a lot of factions that separate us.”

“The head house is the strongest one there is, but my grandfather’s assets in the family have been robbed in secret by the other houses.”

“He demanded the houses to return his assets after he recovered, but they still wouldn’t oblige

“That said, they already had their plans in motion.”

“While my grandfather was still healthy, these tricks meant nothing to him.”

“But after he was defeated by Julio, these people started causing a ruckus again.”

Harvey trusted Katy’s ability to deal with the problems, but it was still better for him to ask about this.

“Thank you, Miss Johnson,” Katy replied. “I won’t forget what you’ve done for me if we manage to deal with the situation.”

Katy lost her composure completely; she wanted to run into Dean’s arms, but she went into Harvey’s arms instead in fear of hurting her grandfather.

“Thank you so much, Sir York!”

“You’re our family’s savior! I just don’t know how to repay you!”

“This is nothing,” Harvey said with a faint smile.

“That said, Elder Cobb’s injuries are quite bad. He needs to stay in a quiet place for at least six months so he can recover.”

“Don’t worry, Sir York. I can handle the rest,” Katy replied with a tender voice.

“No! This is impossible! This is illogical!”

Gael finally came to his senses.

That said, he was still filled with utter disbelief.

After looking closely, a hint of aura could be seen flowing out of the needles.

The aura was extremely lethal, but it turned into nothing the moment it left Dean’s body.

Around ten minutes later, Harvey slowly pulled the needles back out.
