Harvey then kicked Ronnie to the table behind him.

There was a loud bang, and many dishes fell to the ground. It was a disgusting mess.

Ronnie grunted as he stumbled on the ground, his face a wretched expression.

Harvey’s actions turned the entire place dead silent.

His dominance was overwhelming; the people around him couldn’t compare the slightest.

After all, the person Harvey was going against was Ronnie Lee!

“You only succeeded in humiliating me because you threatened me with someone else’s power!”

“Without any support, you’ll pay for going against me!”

Ronnie was boiling with anger.

‘How dare a live-in son-in-law keep coming against me like this? Isn’t he aware of his own status?’ Ronnie was convinced he only got slapped around because Harvey snuck up on him.

If it wasn’t for that, it’d be weird for Harvey to actually be stronger than him!

Harvey wiped his fingers calmly with some wet wipes, smiling.

“You got lucky last time. I didn’t want to go against you for Mr. Pagan’s sake.”

“This time, I’m afraid you’ll have to suffer.”

They were convinced this was the true appearance of a prominent figure.

They knew Harvey was destined to suffer that day.

He took out a cigar and huffed it with a casual yet disdainful glare.

Harley and Henley hid in Ronnie’s arms, looking for security.

“Not bad, Harvey! Not bad at all!”

Ronnie didn’t seem fazed at all. He quickly waved his hand to stop his companions from doing anything stupid.

“You’re a lot more impressive than I thought! It’s a shame that you’re just too stupid.”

“Since you’ve broken out of prison already, you should be booking another stay by now.”

“You may look like a hero right now, but this is just a dumb act!”

“You’ll be gunned to death as soon as I call the police here!”

Ronnie threw his phone at Harley with a grin.

“Go call our inspector here, Harley.”

“Tell them we found a fugitive here!”

“I don’t want any rewards, but I’d like a Good Citizen Award.”

Ronnie then picked up his hot tea while looking curiously at Harvey.

After calming himself down, he realized Harvey didn’t have the power to challenge him anyway.

His background, support, influence, authority, and status were on a different level compared to Harvey’s.

Ronnie’s attitude calmed down his goons around him as well.

They glared coldly at Harvey, as if they were about to call for support.

Harvey, meanwhile, casually grabbed a clean cup and poured himself some tea.

“Enough, Ronnie. Stop pretending to be some sort of hot shot in front of me,” Harvey said after taking a sip of tea.

“Let me ask you one thing.”

“Did you tell Anthony to go to my wife?”

“Answer me like a man.”

“That’s right, I did.”

Ronnie answered the question with a cold smile.

“I wasn’t happy with you disrespecting me before. I wanted to pay you back!”

“Come at me, then!”

“Do you think you’re impressive, scheming against my woman?” Harvey hissed.

“Of course! Why wouldn’t I be?”

Ronnie chuckled coldly.

“After all, it’s boring to just go against you anyway!”

“Tearing your woman into pieces is more interesting!”

“This is what it means to torture someone’s heart!”

“Of course, Mandy’s only just the beginning.”

“You have your sister and parents-in-law as well.”

“I’ll look for more people you love.”

“Bit by bit, I’ll crush every single person you hold dear in front of your own two eyes!”

“I’ll make you live the rest of your life in regret!”

Harvey made a gesture without batting an eye, and his fighters pulled out their firearms.

The safeties of the firearms had been taken off. Meanwhile, the waitresses lay on the ground in fear.

Seeing that, Ronnie’s bodyguards threw their metal rods away before fleeing out of the place.

Harvey made another gesture; the fighters threw the weapons on the ground into the flowerpots around them.

Westin, who was quietly following the group of people, carried a hidden weapon.

Murderous intent was written all over his face.

“Come on. Let’s take a look inside.”

Harvey clapped, then went upstairs with his arms crossed.

The fighters at the front kicked the blinds aside. With that out of the way, they could see clearly what lay ahead.

Ronnie had a few people surrounding him, and the entire place reeked of alcohol. It was clear that the people had just been drinking.

Ronnie held a cup of tea, smiling.

“How dare he go against Anthony like that?

He doesn’t know just how scary Marlon is!”

“Not only is he going to die, but his beautiful wife will be in another man’s arms as well.”

“I’ll take some of you out to play sometime!

That’s a woman from a top-rated family, after all.”

However, Ronnie immediately stopped talking when he saw Harvey leading a group of people. The entire second floor turned dead silent.

He was filled with nothing but shock.

“Ronnie Lee…”

“Ah, I meant Young Master Lee.”

“I didn’t think we’d see each other again.”

“I must’ve disappointed you!”

It was so silent, a falling needle could be heard.

Everyone was completely stunned. Nobody thought that Harvey would show up and challenge Ronnie!

Harley and Henley, who were in Ronnie’s arms, went stiff after seeing Harvey’s face.

They had been gossiping up a storm while relentlessly ridiculing Harvey before, but they couldn’t even say a word at the moment.

Harley was so shocked, she spat out the tea in her mouth.

Everyone was stunned.

They couldn’t believe Harvey was completely unscathed, let alone be able to barge into the place with such a fierce attitude in front of Ronnie.

While Harvey was walking slowly toward Ronnie, a man with long hair stood up furiously.

“If you want your money, then come to us for it!”

“Let me tell you something! We don’t have the money, but we’ll pay with our blood!”

“Kill us if you dare!”

“If you can’t, get out of here already!”

Before Harvey could say anything, Silas had already stepped in front of him.

“Do you still not get it?”

“Leave right now!”

“Do you want them to stay angry?”

Lilian started beating on her chest.

Harvey noticed a frown on Mandy’s face, and didn’t want to explain his side of the story any longer.

He wanted Mandy to rest.

Without thinking anymore, Harvey turned around and left the place.

When Harvey walked out of the hospital, a few Land Rovers could be seen parking in a row. It was quite an impressive sight.

The car door in the middle opened. Kellan came out, showing Harvey a respectful expression.

Harvey went inside and grabbed the cup from Kellan’s hand, and took a sip.

“Where to?”

“The Riverside Restaurant beside the Rio River.”

Harvey nodded before making a gesture.

Kellan sat in the driver’s seat and stepped on the pedal.

The Land Rovers followed closely behind.

The streets were filled with cars and people, and they instinctively made way as soon as they saw the convoy drive by.

The Land Rovers soon stopped right in front of Riverside Restaurant. It was a terrifying sight.

Everyone immediately looked over, thinking that a big show was about to come up.

The place was the most well-known breakfast restaurant in the entire city. It was said that the owner was from South Light as well.

Other than the authentic breakfast menus, the waitresses there were extremely beautiful as well. They were all clad in exquisite -looking dresses when they came out to welcome their guests.

Sweet smiles and alluring figures, along with the smell of tasty food, caught the attention of both the wealthy and powerful.

Lilian was breathing rapidly, boiling with anger.

She stumbled a few steps back, almost falling to the ground.

“Don’t get so worked up! You’ll hurt yourself!”

Silas quickly sat Lilian down like the good son-in-law he was.

“Don’t worry, Mandy’s fine. She’ll wake up soon enough!”

“I’ll take good care of her in the future. I’ll keep her away from those places.”

“Thank goodness you’re here, Young Master Silas! We wouldn’t be able to live without Mandy.”

Lilian revealed a miserable look on her face, though nobody knew if she actually felt that way.

After coming to her senses, she started pointing at Harvey with a furious look.

“Get the f*ck out of here!”

“Right now!”

“You want to remarry Mandy when you’re acting like this?!”

“Dream on!”

“Get out of here already!”

“Stay out of my sight!”

Harvey wasn’t fazed by the situation at all.

he pressed.

Alma’s heart skipped a beat. Then, she gritted her teeth and pointed at Harvey.

“I’m saying this one more time: ask Maya for the truth,” Harvey said coldly.

“Move!”

Silas pulled out his checkbook and wrote a string of numbers on it.

“After Mandy was informed about this, she thought Harvey was being too reckless.”

“She tried to convince him to stop, but he shrugged it off, saying that a woman would never understand such a thing.”

“You know Mandy’s a prideful woman, Aunty. After getting rebuked like that by Harvey, she got furious. Unfortunately, she couldn’t express that.”

“That was why her heart wasn’t in the right place when she was discussing work with Anthony. She didn’t realize she was drugged until it was too late.”

“Mandy’s secretary quickly called Harvey to help, but he ignored it.”

“But my brother came as soon as he could after getting word of it!”

Alma made Silas look like he would go through the fire and flames just to have Mandy.

Compared to what she said about Harvey, Silas seemed like Mandy’s Prince Charming.

Lilian was boiling with anger after hearing Alma’s words.

She immediately swung her hand at Harvey without even bothering to verify the situation.

After Harvey woke up early the following morning, he put on some new clothes and took some cooked porridge to the hospital.

His eyes were cold when he arrived at Mandy’s sick room.

He saw Silas and Alma inside as well.

The SWAT team must’ve let the two in after they told the team that they were friends.

At the end of the corridor, Lilian and Simon sat completely anxious.

“What the hell is going on here, Harvey?”

“Why is Mandy in the intensive care unit with her stomach being cleaned?”

“Say something!”

Lilian was furious, but she wasn’t angry because of Mandy’s horrible condition.

In her eyes, her money tree would be gone if anything were to happen to her daughter.

How was she going to enjoy the glory and riches of the elite world in the future?

Simon, who had usually been calm and collected, glared fiercely at Harvey.

“Talk! Don’t think you can get away with this by keeping quiet!”

“Are you mute?”

Simon walked to Mandy’s bed with a worried look on his face.

Harvey ignored the two, and glanced at Mandy. After making sure that she was breathing normally, he finally let out a sigh of relief.

Mandy was most likely still unconscious because she was too exhausted. There was still a little bit of alcohol left in her body causing this as well.

Harvey felt slightly relieved.

“Let’s not bother her sleep for now,” Harvey whispered.

“We’ll talk outside.”

“Mandy drank a little too much last night when she was meeting a client. That’s why…”

“Shut up! Enough!”

Silas glared fiercely at Harvey, looking as if he was Mandy’s actual husband.

“This is going too far!”

“Why are you still making all this stuff up?

How heinous can you get?”

“Mandy’s been treating you so well, and this is how you repay her? How can you live like this?”

“Have you no shame?”

Silas pretended to be extremely heartbroken as he spoke up righteously against Harvey.

“What will Aunt and Uncle Zimmer think?”

Lilian looked as if she smelled something fishy after hearing Silas’s words.

“Young Master John! Tell us what happened !” she exclaimed with a gloomy look.

“I trust your character!”

“I think my sister should tell you about the situation instead. She’s Mandy’s good friend, she wouldn’t lie to you!” Silas replied.

“If I tell you the truth, Harvey might just lash out at me. He’ll think that I’m here to ruin his relationship with Mandy.”

“I wouldn’t be able to defend myself with these scrawny limbs of mine!”

Simon grew furious after hearing Silas’s words.

“He wouldn’t dare!”

Harvey frowned. He decided to keep quiet and see what kind of tricks Silas was going to pull.

“This is exactly how it happened, Uncle, Aunty!” Alma said.

She revealed a pitiful expression.

“Harvey came to blackmail my brother and demanded three hundred million dollars from him. He even used the Newgate Chamber of Commerce to threaten us.”

Alma decided to tell everyone about the incident to fan the flames.

In the middle of the night, a grim look settled on Marlon’s face.

After a long while, he finally took a deep breath.

“We’re going to Wolsing!”

He believed he would rise to power again even if he left Golden Sands.

The driver and bodyguards froze.

Immediately after, the car turned into another direction.

Marlon knew the police were stationed at airports and train stations just to wait for him.

He wasn’t even planning on going via the highway. He decided that open roads were the safest option.

When the car arrived at the edge of Indigo Mountain, two cars crashed into each other, blocking the road out of the Golden Sands..

A man and a woman were arguing about who should take responsibility for the accident.

Since they didn’t move the cars away, the only way out of the city was blocked off.

Marlon’s driver had no choice but to stop the car and wait.

Marlon was panicking; he couldn’t wait any longer. He knew he’d be in deep trouble if the police were called here.

Marlon didn’t hesitate to order his driver to drive forward. Then, he rolled down his window.

“Enough! I’ll pay for this!” he exclaimed coldly, throwing money at the two.

“Move your damn cars! Stop blocking the road!”

The two froze. A second later, the man started to pick up the money on the ground.

“I’ll get my car out right now,” he said while bowing respectfully.

The woman stepped in front of the window and looked at him with a beautiful gaze.

“You’re so manly!”

“Why don’t you give me your phone number so we can have a little chat afterwards?”

Marlon’s driver and bodyguards grinned.

‘As expected of Head Marlon to be so charming!’

Marlon froze. He sized up the woman’s gorgeous face and elegant figure, and considered relieving his boredom with her while on the run.

He pushed open the car door, smiling.

“Come in! Let’s grab a few drinks together!”

“We’ll all have some fun!”

He tapped on his massive bag by his side, revealing stacks of dollar bills inside.

The woman’s eyes lit up, and she quickly scooched over to Marlon.

“You’re so mean…”

Suddenly, she revealed a thin blade in between her fingers. She swiped through Marlon’s neck and hopped back out.

The man picking up the money already had his firearm out; he rose from the ground and immediately pulled the trigger at the people inside the car.

Bang, bang, bang!

The driver and bodyguards were lying in a puddle of blood. They had no time to react to the situation.

Marlon was filled with nothing but rage as he covered his neck.

He wanted to speak up, but his neck was gushing blood like a fountain. He could feel his soul slipping away…

The woman smiled softly at him.

“CEO Ruiz told us to send his word.”

“Sir York sends his regards as well.”

Marlon felt utterly resentful.

He never thought he’d end up this way because of Harvey York.

It was a shame. There was no turning back at this point.

He had never met Marlon before ; judging from the villa’s situation and Jinny’s way of doing things, though, it was clear that Marlon was a lawless outlaw. People like him weren’t easy to deal with at all.

Mandy would be in deep trouble if Marlon was kept alive.

“We’ll definitely go after him sooner or later.”

Soren revealed a gloomy expression.

“That said, I don’t have enough evidence to make sure he doesn’t come back out.”

“He’ll only be locked for a few years.”

“Since he rarely gets himself involved in all the heinous crimes he’s been working on in secret, he has connections from this city all the way to Wolsing.”

“These people won’t be able to stop him from being charged, but they’ll definitely do everything in their power to keep him alive.”
