    Chapter 4501

    Seeing that, Lilian screamed.

    “Enough, Harvey!”

“Silas is our guest! How dare you let that woman slap him!”

    “Is this a joke?!”

Mandy hesitated, then spoke up to defend Silas.

“Young Master John saved my mother, Harvey. Maybe we can…”

    Harvey immediately cut her off.

“The staff aren’t servants. They’re free people, like every single one of us.”

    “What goes around, comes around.”

“If I wanted Silas dead, he wouldn’t be standing right now.”

“Do you think he’d just take a couple of slaps to the face?”

“Ask him. See if he’s going to fight back after that.”

    Silas gritted his teeth.

    “You…”

The lady gritted her teeth, then charged forward. She immediately slapped Silas’s face a few times.

    Slap, slap!

Two palm prints appeared on Silas’s face. He was seething with anger; he wanted to strangle both Harvey and the lady to death, but he simply couldn’t. He was filled with unbridled rage.

‘Just you wait, you b*stard!’ he thought angrily.

“Remember, call me if someone comes at you for this,” Harvey said.

He glanced at the lady, then wrote a number on paper for her.

    “I got your back.”

He even asked for her name-it was Serena Miller.

Serena froze, stunned, then kept the paper gratefully.

“Alright, that’s enough of this. We’re all family here. We’re here for food.”

Seeing that Harvey was done with his business, Azrael walked forward with a smile.

“Mr. and Mrs. Zimmer, why don’t you join us?” he said, politely inviting the entire family.

    ‘Join them?’

Simon and Lilian were utterly shameless people, but even they felt so awkward that they wanted to hide themselves in a hole.

They invited a bunch of people to eat here, and discarded Harvey because they didn’t want him to embarrass them.

Yet, they didn’t expect that they couldn’t even get past the front door.

Harvey, who they looked down on completely, managed to became Azrael’s guest and got them to join the limelight.

Lilian and the rest felt utterly horrible.

For Lilian, she had hoped Silas to be the impressive one, not Harvey. She could scorn and humiliate Harvey as much as she wanted, rather than feeling so miserable.

    “Let’s go,” Harvey said, smiling.

Simon and Lilian felt more awkward after hearing those words. They wanted to protect their dignity, but they also knew that this was a golden opportunity to get along with Azrael.

Their lives would be smooth sailing if they could cling to a prominent figure like him.

Mandy and the ninth branch wouldn’t have a hard time in Golden Sands anymore.

Despite that, Harvey was the one who gave them the opportunity. If they followed him into the restaurant, they wouldn’t feel good at all.

Gabriel and Avery were excited, but they didn’t have the courage to speak up when Simon and Lilian didn’t.

Mandy’s face kept changing. Finally, she glared coldly.

“Eat by yourselves. I have other things to do.”

She ignored everyone else, and walked away.

Avery didn’t realize it, but Gabriel was already shivering in fear.

He quickly dragged Avery back, and repeatedly bowed to Azrael.

“I’m sorry, Mr. Bolton! I’m really sorry! My wife’s a little out of it right now!”

“She didn’t mean it! Please be kind to her!”

Lilian kept nodding. “That’s right, that’s right! She’s a little crazy! She didn’t mean it!”

Lilian wasn’t worried about Avery at all. She simply didn’t want Azrael to get angry and take back the money he gave her.

“Mr. Bolton, here’s my wife and my parents-in-law,” Harvey said calmly, before Mandy could speak.

“This woman didn’t mean to offend you.”

    “Give her a chance.”

Harvey didn’t want Avery to die, even though he didn’t like this woman and her husband.

If that happened, Lilian would pester the living daylights out of him.

“I see. They’re your family,” Azrael said.

    “Hahaha! What a coincidence!”

He waved his hand, signaling for the others to step back.

Then, he looked at Lilian and Simon. “I’m sorry about that, everyone.”

It was rare for a prominent figure like Azrael to be this respectful. Even his subordinates were completely shocked to see it.

Gabriel and the others kept waving their hands. “It’s fine! It’s really fine!”

Kellan approached Ms. Lee and the lady welcoming them, and glared at the two.

“Are you idiots blind?” he snapped.

“Do you even know how to do your jobs?”

“This is Sir York’s family! Why would you let them stay outside for so long?”

    “Do you want to die?”

Naturally, Kellan scolded Ms. Lee and the others because he wanted Simon and Lilian to have an out. He was only doing this for Harvey’s sake.

Ms. Lee kept bowing her head, apologizing profusely. “I’m sorry! I’m really sorry!”

“Mr. Bolton, CEO Ruiz! It’s completely fine! You’re both too kind.”

Seeing Azrael and Kellan being so polite, Simon quickly de-escalated the situation.

“This has nothing to do with them.”

“We were reckless, anyway. This was our fault!”

“We don’t blame them. It’s all in the past now.”

Simon crossed his arms, looking dignified.

    “Is it now?”

Harvey looked at the palm print on the lady’s face.

    “Did someone hit you?”

    Silas’s eyes twitched.

The lady hesitated; she wouldn’t dare say a word.

“Sir York’s asking you a question. Didn’t you hear him?”

    Kellan exclaimed coldly.

    “Answer him already!”

“If anyone comes for you because of this, I’ll take them out myself!”

However, the lady couldn’t bring herself to say anything.

“She stopped Young Master John from going inside. He got angry and slapped her,” someone said.

    “Oh. I see.”

Harvey nodded, and looked back at the lady.

    “Go, slap him back.”

“Remember. Give him two. Consider it an interest.”

Ms. Lee and the others froze. They didn’t think that Harvey would stand up for people like them. They were filled with nothing but gratitude toward him.

Simon and the others were boiling with anger; Harvey was clearly disrespecting them.

‘That bastard! He’s taking advantage of the situation!”

    Chapter 4499

    Chapter 4499

Harvey nodded with a smile, and walked beside Azrael.

Saul, Lochlan, Kellan, and the others followed as well.

The group chatted idly, in high spirits.

Lilian and the others were shocked. They couldn’t accept the fact that Harvey was Azrael’s guest. They couldn’t bear Harvey looking down on them, either.

No he didn’t even see them in the first place.

Birds in the sky wouldn’t bat an eye toward mere ants.

    It was only natural.

Mandy let out a silent sigh.

She knew Harvey had an extraordinary identity. She doubted him at first, but her belief was getting stronger again after seeing what was happening in front of her.

Sometimes, she would think that Harvey was below her.

But most of the time, she’d feel that Harvey was like a star in the sky-completely unreachable. It was fate that the two were even a married couple to begin with.

It felt like a dream-it was almost unreal.

While Lilian and the others were still shocked, Avery didn’t want to believe anything in front of her. She snapped out of her shock, and squeezed past the crowd.

“Did you do this, Harvey?” she screamed, pointing at Harvey.

“You kept the Golden Plaza from serving us just to embarrass us?”

“All we did was scold you!”

“We told you to think of Mother!”

“It’s already bad enough that you don’t care, but you’re also holding a grudge against us?”

    “How narrow-minded can you get?”

    “Where’s your patience?”

“Are you even a man at this point?”

“We didn’t do anything wrong, either!”

“Young Master John helped us with what happened to Mother. Forget thanking him, you actually offended him like this!”

“So what if we make you clean up the house?”

“You think you belong in the upper social circle just because you have a strong woman supporting you?”

    “What a joke!”

    “You’re nothing without Kairi Patel!”

“If you’re really a man, use your own strength to achieve things!”

“I’ll at least give you my respect!”

Avery relentlessly insulted Harvey then and there, screaming her head off.

She felt that she needed to reclaim Silas’s dignity after what Harvey did to him.

Azrael and the others were completely ignored. She only saw red.

More importantly, she thought that Azrael only gave in because of Silas’s brother.

‘What can Azrael do to Silas?’

‘No matter how powerful the Hermit Families are, they’re nothing against the John family!’

    “Who are you people?”

    Azrael glared coldly at them.

“Who gave you the courage to talk to Harvey like this?”

A man in a robe walked out and stood in front of Avery, looking stern and fearsome.

If Azrael gave the order, he would snap Avery’s neck without hesitation.

Sensing his murderous intent, she became completely terrified.

“I was just scolding the filth, not you…” she said, frightened.

    Chapter 4498

    Chapter 4498

A custom-made Maybach stopped in front of them. Eight layers of glass were stacked in every single window. Even sniper rifles couldn’t penetrate it.

A Rolls-Royce Phantom sat between eight of the Maybach cars. It had an old-school look to it. It wasn’t going too fast, but it exuded a dignified aura.

Ms. Lee and the others trembled, and rushed forward.

    “Mr. Bolton’s here!”

Silas and the others instinctively stood at the side, looking at the convoy with admiration and curiosity.

They could tell that Azrael was coming.

They wanted to know who he invited.

Judging from Azrael’s identity, the people he’d invite would normally be from the five hidden families or the top ten families.

The door of the cars opened.

Thirty-six fierce men in suits rushed out, looking stern and unapproachable.

Eight men in robes walked out, their eyes sharp and fearsome.

After all the men made sure that there wasn’t any danger, they opened the door of the Rolls-Royce.

Everyone saw a single leg coming out.

The entire Zimmer family looked on, their faces loosening with shock.

    Avery immediately lost control.

“Harvey York?” she screamed in disbelief.

    ‘Harvey?’

    ‘How?!’

    Everyone was stunned.

Nobody expected Harvey to come out of Azrael’s car.

After all, only prominent figures had the right to Azrael’s respect -not a useless live- in son-in-law.

‘He has no talent! What right does he have to walk out of this car?’

Silas couldn’t wrap his head around the situation. Gabriel didn’t understand what he was looking at, either. Lilian had no idea how to react.

    ‘Why?’

    ‘How?!’

Mandy froze. She thought that she saw the wrong person.

‘Is my husband really that capable?”

Simon couldn’t help but pinch himself, muttering, “How? How is it him?”

Avery kept slapping her face. The pain on her face made it clear that she wasn’t dreaming at all.

No matter the case, she couldn’t accept the fact that Harvey was close to Azrael.

‘Can he really go this far just by being Kairi’s kept man?’

The car door from the other side opened, revealing a middle-aged man in a tunic suit – he was Azrael. He smiled gently as he walked beside Harvey.

“I prepared this haphazardly. Don’t mind the scene, please.”

Ms. Lee and the other ladies of the shop rushed forward, looking respectful.

“Mr. Bolton, Mr. York!” they greeted. “You’ll be the only guests for tonight. Please, come in!”

The fierce bodyguards quickly made way for the two, shoving everyone else aside.

    Chapter 4497

“Ms. Lee! I was wondering who it was!”

Silas glared coldly at her, his eyes narrowed.

“Do you think you have the right to go against me just because the Newgate Chamber of Commerce is backing you up?”

    Silas was filled with disdain.

At the end of the day, Ms. Lee was just a woman who relied on Kellan to rise to power.

‘Does she really think that she’s capable?’

‘Does a sinful woman like her have any rights?’

    Ms. Lee smiled faintly.

“True, CEO Ruiz and I are small fries. We’re nothing to you.”

“That said, Mr. Bolton has the place booked for the honorable Mr. York.”

“If he knew that a mere relative of the John family is causing trouble outside…”

“I’m sure he’ll be here to teach you a lesson soon enough.”

    Ms. Lee spoke gently.

She seemed so frail, as if a small gust of wind could bring her down. However, her threatening words were enough to make Silas’s eyes twitch.

“Mr. Bolton?” he said, cold sweat forming on his forehead.

    “Which Mr. Bolton?”

    Ms. Lee chuckled.

“Other than Mr. Azrael Bolton, who else has the right to do such a thing?”

“Or are you saying that I’m using Mr. Bolton as a shield?”

“Do you think everyone’s just as reckless as you are?”

Silas was immediately silent after hearing those words.

He knew Ms. Lee wouldn’t use Azrael to show off, even if she was brimming full of courage.

That would mean disrespecting the man.

Gabriel, who knew just how terrifying Azrael was, started to sweat profusely as well.

If word about the incident were to spread, he feared Azrael’s lackeys would take him out.

    Silas’s face was twitching constantly.

But for the sake of his pride, he could only grit his teeth.

“Don’t use Mr. Bolton against me, Ms. Lee!”

“You should know that I have connections with him as well,” he said.

    “Exactly!” Avery exclaimed arrogantly.

“Here you are, boasting about Mr. Bolton.”

“But he still let my mother go after Young Master John’s brother called him, anyway!”

“He’s not that impressive after all, is he?”

Ms. Lee glanced at Silas with a smile.

    “Is that so?”

    “How scary!”

    “That idiot!’

Silas wanted to strangle Avery to death, but he had to remain prideful for the sake of his reputation.

    “Enough.”

“Since Mr. Bolton planned this, we’ll have to show him some respect.”

“No matter what, he did us a favor first. We have no choice.”

Silas forced himself to smile calmly.

“Let’s go to another place, everyone. My treat.”

Simon and Lilian were resentful, but they knew Silas was no match against someone like Azrael.

Even if Lilian was bailed out and fully compensated, it was all because of his brother anyway.

He didn’t have the right to force Azrael to bow down.

    Vroom!

At this very moment, the sounds of car engines could be heard. A convoy slowly drove over.

    Chapter 4496

“I’m not going to that sh*tty place! Not even dogs go there!”

    Avery glared disdainfully.

“Besides, today’s Mother’s big day. She’ll be embarrassed if we just leave like that!”

“The entire place is booked, you say?”

    Gabriel coldly asked.

    “I don’t f*cking care!”

“The Heavenly Box has to be ours tonight!”

“I’m a member here! You need to serve me, no matter what!”

“If not, I’ll report you people to the Food and Drug Administration!”

    Gabriel had a determined look.

After all, he couldn’t even do anything significant. If he couldn’t deal with such a small matter, Lilian would surely look down on him.

The lady smiled, unperturbed by his threats.

“I’m sorry. You can report us all you want, but we can’t serve you tonight.”

“Please don’t block the entrance,” she said firmly.

“My name is Silas John.” Silas stepped forward with a smile before Gabriel could lash out.

“Tell your boss to see me.”

    “Tell them that I’m here!”

The lady froze. She was naturally terrified of the John family; regardless, she smiled calmly.

“The boss is currently preparing for Mr.

York. He won’t be coming out tonight.”

    “That’s why…”

    Slap!

“You b*tch! Who do you think you are, talking like that to me?”

    The lady screamed in pain.

Lilian and the others felt refreshed. In fact, they thought that Silas held back a little too much.

‘People like this should be taught a lesson!’

Mandy frowned, wondering why the others had to make everything harder for the lady.

“You can’t just hit people for no reason!” the lady cried, helpless.

“This is me showing you respect! Other people don’t even have the luxury to get me to slap them!” Silas replied haughtily.

    “Let me tell you something.”

“You have to make way, no matter what!”

“Either that, or you get your boss to come see me.”

“If not, you don’t have to do your job any more tonight. I guarantee it!”

Silas crossed his arms, looking as if he could handle everything in his way-as if he was the king of the world.

After all, he was the third young master of the John family. If he embarrassed himself here, he wouldn’t be able to show off in front of the Zimmer family in the future.

    “Isn’t that Young Master John?”

“Are you beating people up on my turf?”

    “How mighty of you!”

Soon after, a few people walked out of the main hall.

The person leading them was a mature, beautiful woman.

Mandy knew exactly who she was. It was the person Kellan looked after-Ms. Lee.

When Mandy borrowed money from Idris, she was the one who supported him.

However, Harvey taught them a lesson soon after.

Neither Mandy nor Ms. Lee expected to bump into each other again. What a small world!

Ms. Lee was dressed in a business attire. It wasn’t as luxurious, but her dignified aura was still perfectly accentuated.

She approached Silas and the others with a sarcastic smile.

“How dare you? You even hit the boss’s favorite! This isn’t appropriate, is it?”

  • Harvey York’s Rise to Power Chapter 4495

    Chapter 4495

    Chapter 4495

Seven o’clock at night, at the entrance of the Golden Plaza.

The place was luxurious, lit up by dazzling bright lights.

Two rows of beautiful women in gorgeous dresses stood at the entrance.

After parking the car, Silas and the Zimmer family walked to the entrance haughtily.

They felt proud when they saw such a grand entrance.

Lilian even wanted to record a video to show off to her friend group.

She would let herself down if she passed on that opportunity!

A woman stepped forward to welcome them, blocking Silas and the others with a smile.

    “Hello. Are you Mr. York?”

    “Mr. York?”

    Gabriel was furious.

    “Are you insane?!”

    “I’m Gabriel-your manager’s good friend!”

“I booked the Heavenly Box here!”

Gabriel felt pompous after saying those words.

Usually, he wouldn’t be able to afford the Heavenly Box. After all, the starting price of the room cost at least twelve thousand dollars.

The people who could afford it had powerful statuses as well. The ladies here would suck up to such people without fail.

Hence, Gabriel was prepared to receive the same treatment.

    “I see.”

    “I’m sorry.”

“The Golden Plaza will be closed for tonight.”

She smiled brightly at them, and added, Please leave.”

    Lilian and the others froze.

    ‘Leave?’

    ‘What did she say?’

“What? What do you mean, it’s closed?”

Gabriel’s face darkened. He was being utterly disrespected.

“Say it to my face again!”

“I’m a regular here! I have your membership card!”

    “I’m friends with your manager!”

“And yet, you’re chasing us away?”

“I’ll call the manager and get you fired!”

Lilian was in a bad mood as well. The Golden Plaza was one of the most high-class places to spend money in the city.

She happily came here to have a feast with her relatives and friends…

Yet, she was stopped right outside the entrance. How was she going to show off?

If she wasn’t careful, she would probably be humiliated here.

“Are you brain-dead?!” she screeched, furious.

“The doors are wide open! We booked ahead of time, too! Why aren’t you welcoming us?”

    “What’s the meaning of this?”

“Do you think we can’t pay or something?”

“I’m really sorry,” the lady said.

“The Golden Plaza’s fully booked for the night.”

“We have to cancel every single order.”

“Of course, we’ll compensate the customers who reserved their seats beforehand.”

“As for tonight, only Mr. York or people with invitations are allowed inside.”

“If not, we’ll have to ask you to leave.”

“I’ll say it again. A prominent figure booked the entire place. The same goes for everyone else who were invited here.”

“We’re all adults. There’s no need for everyone to leave with a sour taste in our mouths, right?”

She was threatening the group with such gentle words. Gabriel’s face twisted into an ugly expression.

    Mandy frowned.

“Forget it, Mother. The Golden Sands Food.

    Market has good food, too.”

    Chapter 4494

    Chapter 4494

Silas said such profound words, and behaved so politely.

Lilian was very much satisfied with him.

His looks and personality were no different from protagonists of TV dramas.

Just like the protagonists, he was a romantic man; he was infatuated with Mandy, which was why he remained single for a long time.

If Harvey was out of the picture, Mandy would be able to finally marry Silas. The Zimmer family would gain a powerful backer.

And then, the Jean family would probably make Mandy the head of the family.

Compared to the top tenth family of Country H, the John family was simply superior.

Lilian looked at her future son-in-law, pleased as punch.

    Simon smiled gently.

“Oh, Silas. Mandy will need your help to stand her ground in Golden Sands,” Lilian said.

“You should take care of her.”

“Don’t let other people take advantage of her!”

    Silas smiled back.

    “You’re overexaggerating.”

“I’ll always spoil Mandy like a little princess, no matter what!”

“I’ll give the entire world for her, let alone a small matter like this!”

“No matter how you see me, I already feel like I’m a part of the family.”

    Silas looked pompous and shameless.

Nobody could hear anything fishy out of him.

    Gabriel and Avery were impressed.

They were sure that Silas was Simon and Lilian’s biggest reward.

After all, they wouldn’t have the right to even know people like these!

Simon and Lilian were smiling; they were pleased with the entire situation.

It felt as if Harvey was actually invisible.

At this point, Silas seemed like their actual son-in-law instead of Harvey.

“Right! We’re all family here,” Simon said.

    “Let’s not chat here.”

    “That’d be boring!”

Simon waved his hand, looking like the true head of the house.

“We’ll have to properly celebrate to thank Silas.”

“You know the manager of the Golden Plaza, right, Gabriel?”

“Call him and book the Heavenly Box for us.”

“We won’t come back home till we’re all drunk out of our minds!”

    “Get the relatives there, too.”

“Bring all the lobsters and sea urchins. We’ll get everything we can!”

“We’ll take the 1982 Lafite that we have, too!”

    “It’s settled!” Gabriel said.

He nodded, then made the call.

    Lilian glared at Harvey.

“You probably shouldn’t go, Harvey. That place doesn’t suit you. You’ll make us look bad.”

    “Clean up my room instead.”

“We’ll bring you the leftovers later.”

“You’ll have a taste of real seafood very soon!”

    Mandy frowned.

“If Harvey’s not going, then I’ll stay with him.”

“What do you mean by that?” Lilian said.

“You’re the main character! You have to go!”

“We have important things to talk to you about!”

Lilian dragged Mandy out of the front door, not giving her a chance to refute.

Everyone went outside with Silas, looking haughty and arrogant.

Silas looked back, and shot Harvey a mocking smile.

    Vrrr!

When everyone left, Harvey’s phone rang.

Saul’s laughter could be heard from the other side.

“Mr. Bolton has the entire Golden Plaza booked, Harvey. We’re all waiting for you here!”

“He’ll grill me alive if you don’t come!”

Harvey frowned. Before he could say anything, Mandy already spoke up for him.

“Enough, Gabriel. I have a husband,” she said, frowning.

Mandy had already decided to break off from Silas once and for all.

She didn’t want to remain friends after their cooperation, either.

Who knew that Lilian would owe Silas such a huge favor?

    “Husband?”

    “That kept man’s your husband?”

    Gabriel chuckled coldly.

“Father and Mother told me about it already,” he said arrogantly.

“Ever since he became the family’s live-in son-in-law, he hasn’t done a single thing for the past three years.”

“And after you divorced him, he’s still here trying to leech the family!”

“What’s the point of keeping someone like that here?”

Avery laughed as well. “We need him to clean up the toilets, of course!”

    “What are you saying?”

Gabriel pretended to look angry, and continued to mock Harvey.

    “Did you forget?”

“Sir York here has relations with Kairi Patel herself!”

“Maybe he begged for her to help this time!”

Gabriel couldn’t help but get a little jealous as he said that.

After all, not everyone had the right to cling to such a prominent figure.

Avery and the others burst out laughing after hearing those words.

‘What a failure of a man!’

“Hmph! I wonder what kind of bad luck I have to get such a terrible son-in-law!”

The more Lilian looked at Harvey, the more disdainful she would get.

She had already forgotten all about what happened before.

She believed Harvey had nothing to do with the incident at all.

Silas bailed her out with ease and compensated for her losses fully, too.

Lilian wanted Mandy to marry Silas so badly.

If that happened, she’d be able to do whatever she wanted in the city from then onward.

“Enough!” Mandy said coldly. She didn’t want Lilian to continue ridiculing Harvey.

She looked at Silas and said, “Thank you for all this, Young Master John.”

    Silas smiled gently.

“Don’t mention it. The John family isn’t that influential, but we still have our reputation.”

“It may seem absurd, but it’s only natural that Mr. Bolton apologized after my brother’s appearance.”

“As for what happened in the Royal Clubhouse, I did something terribly wrong.”

“That’s why I wanted to make up for my mistake.”

“No need to feel guilty, Mandy. Just treat this as my apology from last time.”

“I won’t ask you to do anything in return.”

“I just hope that you’ll be friends with me.”

Silas looked like he was trying to go back on his actions…

As if he could do anything for Mandy’s sake.

    Chapter 4492

Everyone was shocked. There was light at the end of the tunnel, after all.

Lilian didn’t suffer behind bars, and she even got 1.5 million dollars as compensation.

Safe to say, the losses of her shop were sufficiently repaid.

Lilian was proud about it; the more miserable she was when she in jail, the cockier she got when she was bailed out.

Thinking of the second-in-command respectfully apologizing to her, she felt even more refreshed.

Simon was exhilarated as well. He told Lilian everything that had happened, then looked at Silas with admiration.

“There’s something you don’t know, honey.

Without Silas’s help, you wouldn’t be able to get out that easily. Mr. Bolton wouldn’t even compensate you with that much money in the first place.”

“You probably still would be in jail at this point!”

“Aunt Anderson’s still stuck behind bars, and she’s not getting any compensation either.”

    Simon patted Silas’s shoulder gratefully.

    “What a good kid.”

He was filled with admiration, thinking that it’d be good if Silas was actually his son-in- law.

However, he quickly swallowed his words after remembering that Harvey was there too.

Gabriel, however, kept nodding his head.

“That’s right! Young Master John did everything he could for us.”

“He’s the one who got Blaine to help, after all.”

“It’s all because of that man’s reputation !”

    “I see…”

Lilian seemed to realize something. She quickly walked toward Silas, and held his hand gratefully.

“Oh, Silas! Thank you so much!”

“You’re not our family’s son-in-law, but you’re definitely better than that!”

“I just know that you’ll be able to help us, no matter what. With your generosity and attitude, you can do anything!”

“I don’t have anything nice to say, but from now on, the Zimmer family is your family.”

“If you need anything, just say the word!”

“I’ll always have your back when you need me!”

Lilian winked at Silas, as if her words had different meanings.

However, Silas’s eyes kept twitching. Based on his reputation, he knew he had no right to accept Azrael Bolton’s money.

    That said, he still smiled.

“It’s not a big deal at all.”

“All I did was ask for some help.”

“My brother’s the young master of the John family, anyway. It’s only natural that he has Mr. Bolton’s respect.”

“Besides, Mandy’s parents are my own. Of course I need to take care of you.”

“I wouldn’t be human if I didn’t do something that simple!” he exclaimed grandly.

Harvey smiled coldly after seeing Silas steal all the credit while looking so righteous about it.

There were just some things weren’t worth showing off for.

Silas almost got in deep trouble because of the incident at the Royal Clubhouse. It’d be easy for something similar to happen to him again.

“Sigh! As expected for you to be this humble, Young Master John. There aren’t a lot of people like you nowadays.”

“If you were my brother-in-law, I would’ve been cruising in life by now!” Gabriel said.
