The next day, Harvey showed up at Fortune Hall as usual.
His reputation in the city had risen quickly, and his name became more and more well- known.
Many prominent figures would always visit the hall to tell their fortune.
Harvey couldn’t be bothered to serve these people, but he had no choice. Anyway, he had to compromise for the sake of his mission.
After running around till the afternoon, a group of people in robes entered.
These people carried terrifying auras, but they quickly held themselves back as soon as they came here, as if to show respect.
Darwin and his daughter Shay were leading the group.
Harvey glared at them and signaled for them to sit, then went back to his work.
“Are you busy, Master York?”
Darwin gave Harvey a fawning smile. It was completely different from his high and mighty attitude in the past.
“We’ll come back later if you are!”
He pulled Shay aside, and they sat on the couch while waiting quietly for Harvey.
Shay, who was quite an arrogant person, sat obediently in place like her father. Her hateful gaze in the past was gone, replaced by admiration.
Harvey didn’t bother to talk to them. After he was done with work, he invited the two to a meal.
Leona went outside that day. Since Cliff was the one cooking, only simple foods were being made.
That said, Darwin and Shay were overwhelmed when they took every single bite.
“I’m sorry, Darwin. I don’t really have anything fancy to greet you with.”
Harvey told Castiel to bring Darwin a cup of tea, then smiled at Darwin.
“Maybe I should treat you to a big meal tonight instead.”
Darwin quickly shook his head.
“You’re too kind, Master York! I came of my own volition. I should be treating you to a meal instead! If you’re interested, I’ll arrange it tonight!”
Harvey smiled; he was just being polite. He didn’t need the meal in the first place.
“Alright. Now that we’re done with our meal, why don’t you tell me why you’re here?”
Harvey asked, smiling.
Normally speaking, Darwin only needed to come back after a few weeks. After all, Harvey told him to come every month.
“It’s nothing much, really.
“Ever since you helped me, my body has mostly recovered. I don’t need my wheelchair anymore, and I’m back to being an expert again!”
Naturally, Darwin had no intention of hiding anything since he understood how Harvey worked.
“I came because I need your help with two things.
“First off, I want to thank you for your generosity and kindness.
“After you told me what to do, I managed to return my daughter to her normal state.
“However, I don’t know how I can help her recover. I wanted to ask for your help.”
Darwin was being incredibly polite.
He even pulled out a check he had prepared beforehand, and placed it respectfully in front of Harvey.
