Chapter 1272 I Am Still Alive

In Jadeborough’s Department of Justice, Mr. Sanders knew a dozen of the Nortons had been killed. “Theodore, who do you think is the culprit?” he asked Theodore.

“Mr. Sanders, I don’t have a firm answer. However, David killed Mr. Chance not long ago, and Mr. Chance used to have many loyal subordinates. Therefore, anyone from the Village of Villains, Shadow Estate, and Medicine God Sect could be our suspect. Nevertheless, I guess the culprit isn’t that strong, for he only murdered Senior Grandmasters after killing two Martial Arts Grandmasters,” Theodore analyzed.

“By the way, I wonder why Jared had such a strong charisma that could make so many people stay loyal to him…” Mr. Sanders said in bewilderment.

Theodore shook his head and responded, “I’m not sure about it. As far as I know, they respected Mr. Chance and always abided by his orders.”

“Do you think everything that happened in the past two days was done by Jared?” Mr. Sanders suddenly asked.

Theodore was startled for a while before replying, “Mr. Sanders, are you suspecting that Mr. Chance is still alive?”

“I still find it difficult to believe Jared would die so easily!” Mr. Sanders said and heaved a sigh.

Confidently, Theodore shook his head and answered, “I’m sure it wasn’t done by Mr. Chance. In fact, he might have made an entrance by barging into the Norton residence and fighting David to the end. Assassinating someone in the dark is just not Mr. Chance’s style.”

Before Theodore could finish, Jared came into the room while laughing heartily. “Haha. I never thought General Jackson could understand me so well…”

Theodore widened his eyes in disbelief upon seeing Jared.

“Mr.-Mr. Chance, are y-you still alive?”

Mr. Sanders was delighted upon knowing that Jared was alive.

“Yes, I’ve achieved Martial Arts Marquis.” Jared nodded.

“Mr. Chance, what happened? David boasted that he killed you and even backed his claim with photos! Also, are you related to the recent assassinations of members of the Norton family?”

Feeling bewildered, Theodore wished to find out the truth.

Jared had no intention of hiding it and slowly explained what happened during his battle with David. Theodore and Mr. Sanders couldn’t help but feel nervous as they listened to him.

Later, Theodore was shocked when he knew Jared had obtained an unexpected reward—becoming a Martial Arts Marquis.

“As for the Nortons who had been assassinated, I have no idea who is behind it. After all, I’ve just arrived at Jadeborough today and heard it from others.”

It took him three days to rush to Jadeborough.

Lyanna smiled and winked flirtatiously at the one who stood next to her.

Instantly, the man looked at Lyanna with his gleaming eyes and a grin on his face.

The other man who sat beside Melanie was also mesmerized by her alluring gaze.

“Boys, it’s too packed here. Shall we go to another place?” Lyanna suggested.

Deep down, she knew the two Nortons had been seduced by them.

“Sure…”

Both of them nodded in response.

Soon, Melanie and Lyanna left the restaurant with the two men.

After they entered an alley, Lizbeth suddenly emerged and waved her dagger.

The next moment, the two Nortons collapsed and lay in a pool of blood.

After murdering them, Lizbeth and the rest quickly fled the scene to look for their next target.

They resorted to the method of slowly killing every Norton.

In merely two days, they had killed more than ten people from the Norton family with the same method.

Meanwhile, David paced up and down with uneasiness in the living room of the Norton residence.

In just two days, more than a dozen people in the Norton family had died.

“N-No, I did nothing of the sort,” Rayleigh explained hurriedly.

When Rayleigh wasn’t paying attention, Lizbeth quickly fished his phone out of his pocket.

She unlocked his phone and saw the news that David had taken Jared’s life. At once, she froze in her tracks.

She couldn’t believe that, but the sight of the photos caused her to collapse to the ground. It was as though her soul had been sucked out of her body.

The phone dropped to the ground as Lizbeth stared ahead in a daze.

She refused to believe it.

“No, this is not true. It’s not true!” Lizbeth declared before she broke into tears.

Lyanna and Melanie comforted her hastily. However, they both fell silent after learning that Jared was killed.

Jared’s death had dealt a huge blow to them.

Rayleigh was still sobbing silently. He did not know how to comfort the girls.

Everyone cried for so long until their tears were dried up.

Slowly, Lizbeth got to her feet. Her eyes were dry as they flashed with murderous intent.

“I shall kill everyone in the Norton family to avenge Jared so he can rest in peace!” She gritted her teeth as a dangerous aura swirled around her body.

“Lizbeth, calm down. Jared isn’t David’s match. You’re only seeking death!” Rayleigh advised her.

“Jared’s dead, so there’s no point for me to live on. If I can’t avenge him, I’ll take my own life! I don’t want him to be lonely,” Lizbeth declared in a cold tone.

She was no longer a frail woman but a machine devoid of emotion, wanting to take revenge.

“Lizbeth, I’ll go with you,” Lyanna told her.

“Me, too! Count me in,” Melanie chimed in.

Rayleigh let out a long sigh as he glanced at the three ladies.

He offered, “I shall accompany you to Jadeborough then. However, you can’t act recklessly if you want to avenge Jared.”

As they had made up their minds, Rayleigh decided to take them back to Jadeborough.

They would do everything in their power to avenge Jared!

In Village of Villains, Leviathan flew into a fit of rage after he learned that Jared had been killed.

He found the news shocking, but the gory photos of Jared posted on the martial arts forum were pretty convincing.

Leviathan’s Shadow Estate was one of the regiments of the Dragon Sect. Now that the overlord, Jared, was dead, he was bound by duty to avenge his death.

“Mr. Chance, don’t worry. I shall avenge you!” Leviathan declared as a wintry glint appeared in his eyes.

Colin’s eyes were red from crying. Clenching his jaw, he said, “Dad, let’s bring our men to the Norton residence to avenge Jared!”

“We’re no match for the Norton family. After The Villainous Four recover and come out of seclusion, we shall attack the Norton residence together! As long as I am still alive, I shall do my best to destroy the Norton family!”

Leviathan knew well that they weren’t capable enough of seeking revenge for Jared.

The Villainous Four were recuperating in Pentacarna Tower. After they came out of seclusion, Leviathan wanted to join forces with them and attack the Norton family together.

“Missing home?”

Melanie couldn’t hide her surprise. “Mr. Deragon, you don’t have a home! I’ve been with you for years. We only have each other to depend on. You’ve never told me about your home. Besides, you’ve never gone home!”

Sticking her head out, Millie observed Jared and asked, “Even if Jared is alive, he looks different! He was wounded and his bones were crushed. Why can he stand up now?”

Cecilia was at a loss for words, stumped after hearing Millie’s question. She was still confused about many things.

“I have a treasure to rebuild my body. That was why I recovered this quickly. If you don’t trust me, come and pinch me to see if I’m a ghost!” Jared told the little girl as a smile flitted across his lips.

Slowly, Millie went over to him and pinched his arm forcefully.
